Ch. 5

CC's POV.

The moment we were at the pool Melody right away put her towel on a chair and jumped in. I went in soon after her. She was smiling and I am glad she is happy. I wonder why she didn't want to show her mid-section she looks amazing. I was in the water with her and she swam around me. I have no idea what she was doing, then she jumped on to my back.

CC: what's with you and jumping on people back.

Melody: I don't know

Melody then jumped off my back and back into the pool. I turned to look at her and she was still under water. Once she surfaced again she just began laughing. She didn't stop.

CC: what are you laughing at.

Melody just shrugged back she couldn't catch her breath to form a sentence. I began to smile because her laughing was great and way better than her crying. Maybe she won't cry tonight. After a while of swimming her phone began to ring. I got out of the pool.

CC: Melody, Loly is calling you.

Melody: oh my god really?

Melody got out of the pool and ran towards me. I passed her the phone and she answered the phone. I zoned out to whatever she was saying and I looked at her mid-section trying to see why she wants to hide it. I saw little white scars in a few places. Once she realized what I saw she covered it with her arms. The smile I had was gone. She had long white scars on her stomach.

Melody: yeah that sounds great... umm I got to go so goodnight love you take care text me if you need me.

Melody hung up on the call put her phone on top of her towel and jumped back into the pool. I went back into the pool as well. Melody was holding on to the corner of the pool and she had her back faced towards me. I Went over to her and turned her around. She closed her eyes she looked scared. I hugged her hoping that maybe she'll feel better.

CC: we don't have to talk about it.

Melody: thank you.

Melody hugged me back.

CC: but...

Melody: what?

CC: we need to tell Andy and Juliet.

Melody: but then they are going to talk about it.

CC: I know but they deserve to know.

Melody: no please CC not today. Please.

CC: when are you going to tell them then?

Melody kept quiet and let go of the hug and swam away from me.

CC: melody when do you plan on telling them?

Melody looked at me but no response.

CC: Melody... are you ever going to tell them?

Melody: no but within time I'm pretty sure they'll find out.

CC: they are your parents they deserve to know.

Melody: and my biological parents never knew I was depressed. They didn't know that, once they found out it was the second time I tried to kill myself. They didn't care after a month. I'm pretty sure Andy and Juliet don't need to find out today.

CC: but what if you try to hurt yourself later on or worst try to kill yourself? If I'm the only that knows it will suck trying to explain to them that I kept important information from them.
