CH 14

Juliet's POV

After breakfast we all took turns showering and getting dressed because we were already in our next town. We decided that we'll take a walk around the town and just see what we can do for the day. We were all walking down main street, as I saw a nail salon. I was thinking that maybe Melody and I can go there to get our nails done and maybe bond a little more. Then we passed by a go kart arena and I think the boys got an idea.

Ashley: hey shorty, let's go go-karting.

Melody: let's go!

Juliet: I'm not sure about this Melody, I don't want you to get hurt.

Andy: there's helmets she'll be fine.

Jake: yeah let her have some fun.

Juliet: but what if she gets hurt even if it isn't most likely what if it actually happens.

Jinxx: well how about we ask Melody herself?

CC: would you like to go go-karting Melody?

Melody: yes! Only if it's okay with Juliet.

Andy: so what's it going to be Dragonfly?

Juliet: fine we'll go go-karting.

All the guys did a little cheer and Melody did as well. We then headed to the go-kart arena. As we walked in CC passed Melody to Jinxx and he put her back on the floor. We had to sign a few papers to agree that we will not sue the place if we were to get seriously hurt. Melody signed hers but, then the employee looked up at all of us, then back at Melody.

Employee: Hi Melody how old are you?

Melody: I'm fifteen.

Employee: I'll need both parents signatures.

Andy and I walked up and I skimmed the papers. It plainly was about allowing my child to go-kart. Andy and I signed the papers and then we were brought to get our helmets. All the helmets were on a shelf and Melody couldn't get hers, She was on her tip toes trying to reach for it but failing to grab a helmet. Ashley grabbed a helmet and passed it to Melody.

Ashley: here shorty.

Melody: thanks Ash.

Ashley: I think you're shrinking.

Melody: me too.

We were then all brought to where all the go karts are and they were teaching us about the brake and gas. Though they were pretty much explaining it to Melody. Then we all put on our neck collars, helmets, and race suits on. Although, they gave Melody a rib protector and buckled the back of it and tightened it. They then gave Melody knee and elbow pads. Afterwards Melody put on the race suit.

CC: You're a marshmallow.

Melody: what?

CC: I am not a marshmallow.

Melody: okay then?

Ashley: c'mon shorty let's go

We then climbed into our go-karts. An employee walked on to the track and waved the green flag, we were all then off. We were all speeding along as I saw Melody drifting and crashing into walls often. Melody then passed me and was soon in third place. CC was in first place, Andy was in second place. Soon enough Melody was so close to pass Andy but then crashed into a wall. Then, Melody was accelerating and passed Andy, and Melody was speeding right against CC. They were both at their fastest speed head to head then came a turn and Melody did a sharp turn and crashed into CC. The go-kart CC was driving spun out as Melody kept speeding ahead. Soon enough Melody came in first place. We all then got out of the go-karts once we were back where we got them.
