The Test Subject (Yautja)

Part 2 "Kindness"

Lydia came back after several hours alone. She watched as Di'seh slept, he looked so peaceful asleep on his bed in that lonely chamber the lights were on so she could see what his space consist of. Lydia starts to wonder how he has survived this long without being wounded because he looks healthy even being as fit looking as he is, which is a shock for her. Lydia would not expect a healthy fit body shape if she was trapped and tested on for 12 years. Lydia was now concerned about this creature she is pretty sure he is not meant to be white but then again she has no say in what happens to him. Lydia is only here to watch over Di'seh until further notice.

Lydia decided to do some research herself about what he is she found a file that had the name 'Yautja' on it. Lydia opened the first-page seeing Di'seh was the first picture, the file seems to contain information of what they have been testing on him the first subject was his change skin? before she could read it she got a fright from a knock on the glass. Lydia looked up at the glass only to see Di'seh with his hand by it most probably because he used his knuckles to tap on the glass he did move his hand to his side. However Lydia was still terrified of him, he looked like someone you do not want to mess with, his height and muscle mass is very intimidating.

Di'seh could tell Lydia was scared of him even if there is a protective wall between them. He found it amusing that she was so terrified of him. Di'seh looked down at what she was holding it appeared to be a file about him in particular "Di'seh: Why are you so interested in knowing me human? Is it good knowing how I am treated? Is it amusing?" Di'seh growled at Lydia his low rumble loud enough to be heard on the other side of the glass.

Lydia put down the file on the desk with a sigh she didn't think Di'seh would get angry so quickly. Lydia stood up from her chair and walked up to the glass standing in front of Di'seh. "Lydia: Di'seh just because I'm human does not mean I find it amusing or good that others suffer whether it be human, animal, or alien. Not all humans are like that you know I'm just one of the few who are not cruel."

Di'seh realized he lashed out at Lydia without thinking he took a deep breath and rested his palm on the glass leaning some of his weight on it and hang his head down looking at the floor "Di'seh: forgive me, Lydia, for lashing out at you." Lydia had empathy for Di'seh he was alone for so long and most likely treated badly over the past years being a test subject she doesn't blame him for lashing out at her she would have done the same if she was stuck in there her whole life.

Lydia put her palm where he is on the glass "Lydia: Di'seh..." Di'seh looked up and immediately turned his attention to their hands. He made a purring sound something he has never done before so he immediately stopped but Lydia didn't seem to notice that he purred. "Lydia: I do forgive you..." Di'seh was pleased that Lydia forgave him. Di'seh pulled away from her hand and Lydia did the same then she went back to sit on the chair she was about to take his file and read it but she just packed it away with the rest of the files.

Di'seh went back to his bed and sat on it leaning his back against the wall he was so grateful that this new human was kind in the meantime he just enjoyed the peace and quiet. After a while of pretty much-doing nothing Di'seh saw and heard someone enter the observation room, it was Dante the man who gives him food every week. Dante has not given Di'seh food for weeks on end and now it has finally arrived.

Dante was about to send the food and water through into Di'sehs chamber but Lydia put her leg in the way "Dante: Uhhh lady do you mind moving your leg?" Lydia held up her finger at him telling him to wait she finished what she was doing on her phone then looked at Dante with an angry type of face "Lydia: First of all let me ask you something 'Dante' what is that?" Lydia read his nametag and pointed at the 2 bowls on a tray one with 4 large rats in it and dirt water in the other "Dante: Uhh food for that Yautja." Dante said in disgust "Lydia: Well you can give me that thank you" Lydia stood up and took the large tray out of Dante's hands she took the bowls off and onto the counter in front of her then took the tray and smacked Dante right on the head with it.

Dante rubbed his head from the pain and glared at her but she glared right back at him "Lydia: You do not give someone this type of food!" Di'seh was trying his best not to laugh at this situation he was standing in front of the glass with crossed arms watching them fight.

Dante raised his hand about to slap Lydia but she caught his wrist and punched him in the gut making him fall to his butt. Di'seh uncrossed his arms and growled at Dante how dare he raise his hand at a female! Di'seh roared at Dante it grabbed both of Lydia's and Dante's attention.

Lydia was terrified by Di'sehs roar it shook the glass but didn't shatter it. Dante got up and ran out of the room leaving both of them. Lydia shook her head and grabbed the bowls placing them on the tray "Di'seh: Are you alright?" Lydia turned her head to him and nodded "Lydia: I am. I just hate these men being lazy, bringing you this... I'm going to get you proper food I'm sure you are starving." Di'seh yet again was amazed by her kindness "Di'seh: I am an Omnivore, but I prefer meat." Lydia nodded her head and left.

Lydia came back with the tray it had a large chunk of raw beef on it, too big for a bowl to hold and a bowl of water. Di'seh purred at the sight of food it has been weeks without food and now he finally gets decent food and quite a big chunk for that matter. Lydia couldn't figure out how to send the food through the only way she would know is through the door "Lydia: Oh boy...."

Di'seh pointed at a button in front of Lydia she put the tray down and pressed it and it sent the food and water through. Di'seh grabbed the food and started eating immediately he used his mandibles and sharp teeth to sink into the soft flesh breaking off strips and eating them whole.

The blood dripped down his forearm off his elbow onto the floor. Lydia stared at him with wide eyes, he was eating so fast! Di'seh was still purring as he continued to eat. Di'seh devoured the entire chunk of flesh in under 4 mins, he then drank the bowl of water finishing it with ease right after. Di'seh went and sat down on his bed he noticed the blood on his hands and forearms he looked at Lydia who was still staring at him "Di'seh: What?" Di'seh brought his attention back at his arms and hands and started licking the blood off he purred at the taste of it.

Lydia was about to say something but was cut off by Di'seh licking the blood she still stared at him amazed, his tongue was so long it was almost like a snake but thicker with no split end. "Lydia:I...you...wow okay you were so hungry Huh?" Lydia had her hands on her hips having a big smile on her face.

Di'seh stopped and looked at her "Di'seh: thank you for your kindness I haven't had food like that in years." Di'seh used his sharp mandible tusks to dig out any leftover meat in his teeth "Lydia: Your welcome Di'seh." Lydia sat down and played candy crush on her phone again being LVL 1689 was tough in this game. Di'seh looked at her "Di'seh: What are you doing?" "Lydia: I'm playing a game called candy crush you won't understand it unless you 'get on my level'."

Di'seh grunted in amusement knowing that she most likely pulled a pun there. Lydia grinned then giggled "Di'seh: Lydia why are you so nice to me?" Lydia seemed very happy she looked at him and winked. Di'seh didn't know what that meant but he will ask another time.
