The Test Subject (Yautja)

Part 21 "Cold"

Di'seh was asleep on the very comfy bed in his own room that was given to him and Lydia was in the other one next door but no dought is asleep. Di'seh was feeling cold and struggled to sleep he kept tossing and turning in his bed wishing to get his sleep but to no luck he can't beat the cold and he has no idea if it is possible to warm up this room like the other one at the facility. Di'seh sat up off the bed then stood up and walked off out of his room but the minute he passed the door that enters Lydias room he heard sounds of fear come from her room. Di'seh grew in worry? he opened the door quickly which woke up Lydia with a fright. Lydia had a bad dream and shot awake when hearing her door slam open. Lydia sat up and grabbed her gun from under her pillow and aimed it at the door no knowing who it is. Di'seh lifted his hands up in surrender at her.

Lydia sighed in relief that it was only Di'seh she put her gun down on the nightstand next to her "Lydia:Sorry Di'seh I thought you were a stranger." Di'seh lowered his hands then walked closer to Lydia without lowering his head due to all the rooms having a good height for him to walk up straight. "Di'seh:I heard you were in distress in your room I came to check on you." Lydia sat on the edge of her bed rubbing her eyes from sleep. "Lydia:I only had a nightmare I'm fine." Di'seh came close enough to Lydia and hesitantly rested his hand onto her back as he sat down next to her "Di'seh: I apologize." "Lydia:You don't need to be sorry." Di'seh noticed the sadness in her voice but he chose to stay quiet.

Lydia broke the silence "Lydia: Why are you so cold?" Di'seh removed his hand from her back as he looks at her face "Di'seh:It is hard for me to generate my own heat I'm not entirely warm blooded like you are" Lydia put her hand on his forearm feeling his ice cold skin on her warm hand "Lydia:JESUS!" Di'seh slightly flinched at her touch and loud word that followed "Lydia:Your as cold as an ice block in a freezer!" Di'seh chuckled softly "Di'seh:I can't be that cold Lydia. I'm usually very warm hearted towards you" Lydia had a hue of pink on her cheeks but just ended up laughing and punched Di'seh in the shoulder playfully. Di'seh growled playfully then wrapped his arms around Lydia making her squeal from his sudden cold touch. "Lydia: Di'seh your so cold..." Lydia whined as Di'seh started to purr out of comfort from her warmth that he started to feel sleeping aswell.

Lydia tried desperately getting out of Di'sehs grasp. Lydia soon gave up and just started to laugh but soon stopped as Di'seh started to speak "Di'seh: Can I sleep with you tonight? I don't want to be alone after everything that happened." "Lydia:Awww is little Di'seh scared?" Di'seh rolled his eyes from her teasing voice "Lydia:You can stay besides I don't think I can sleep well tonight on my own after that nightmare" Di'seh nodded with a grunt then gently held Lydia and pulled her down onto the bed "Di'seh:Would you like to talk about that nightmare?" Lydia shook her head losing her brief happy moment with Di'seh. Lydia turned around making her back face him as she closed her eyes. Di'seh cursed himself for asking but he didn't want her to feel sad so he hugged her from behind in her bed then he closes his eyes aswell slowly drifting to sleep with Lydia.

Dri'ah yelled in frustration that the vehicle didn't have Di'seh she whipped out her wrist blades and started ripping the car into pieces along with the other none familiar vehicle that dragged the red one around. R'ka held the unconscious none armed male human by it's colar while watching his mate rip the cars to shreds out of anger. R'ka had wide eyes starring at Dri'ah untill he slowly turned around and started walking towards the field of trees. R'ka left his mate to rek the vehicles as he walked far enough away to place the human away from his mates reach incase she still wanted to shred this defenceless human apart aswell.

Dri'ah was done letting out her rage on the cars, she made her way towards the opposite direction that R'ka took but she didn't go far and ended up climbing a tree to await her mates return. R'ka used his mask to help track down Dri'ah he spotted her in the tree. R'ka climbed the tree and sat next to Dri'ah "R'ka:Dri'ah we will find him I promise" Dri'ah was feeling saddness take over her she didn't say anything and just rested against R'ka shoulder with a sigh "Dri'ah: I know we will find our son. I just... It's been so long since we last saw him and I can only imagine what they have done to him over the past 12 years. What if he forgot about us?" "R'ka:He would never forget us" R'ka put his arm around Dri'ah and leaned into her. R'ka rested his head on top of Dri'ahs and closed his eyes "R'ka:Let us rest for the night it has been a long journey here we will continue searching early morning" Dri'ah nodded in approval and leaned closer into R'ka for a lovely cuddle.
