Di'seh was watching Lydia around the cottage, she did a lot of work and he did offer to help but she refused his offer and said she could do it all on her own. Lydia loved to clean it was her favorite chore to do as a child and to this day.
Di'seh decided to explore outside but not too far he sat down on the open field of grass where he can still be seen. Di'seh stood out on the green grass because of his white skin he felt the warmth of the sun and refreshing air in his lungs, it was a satisfying pleasure being outside. Lydia panicked when she couldn't find Di'seh in the cottage she looked out the window and saw him sitting on the grass in the open field. Lydia watched him in curiosity.
Di'seh heard a meowing sound he looked up and saw a small grey-furred creature it appeared to have an object around its neck and it made a bell sound when it moved. The creature stalked towards Di'seh, Di'seh was not fazed about the small animal it didn't appear as a threat to him at all but still, he kept his guard up just in case. The creature was ready to pounce Di'seh it wiggled its backside slightly then pounced at Di'seh
Di'seh didn't move an inch and noticed the small creature attack his hand in a playful manner it kept clawing his nail as if it was its prey. Di'seh huffed in amusement at the actions of this creature but was confused whether it wanted to be aggressive or playful because it displayed both.
Lydia saw the cat pounce at him she immediately went outside to stop Di'seh to hurt the cat but when she got outside she saw something she didn't expect. Di'seh moved his finger around attracting the attention of the creature to his dark coloured nail, the creature tried catching his nail but Di'seh was too quick for the little thing. After a few minutes of playing with the creature it played on Di'sehs lap, Di'seh sat cross-legged. Di'seh rubbed the coat of the little creature it made a vibrating purr it was almost like Di'sehs but he is deeper and louder than the creature.
The creature then ran off the moment Lydia was walking to Di'seh. Di'seh looked at his hand clicking his mandibles in curiosity he liked the feeling of the fur it was soft and fluffy. "Lydia: Hey you alright?" Di'seh turned his attention to Lydia it was weird seeing her taller since he was sitting down he had to look up at her. "Di'seh: Yes I am." Lydia sat down next to Di'seh she noticed he sounded tired as if he was deprived of sleep.
Di'seh now looked down at Lydia who sat next to him. "Di'seh: Were you concerned for the creature's safety?" Lydia chuckled slightly, scratching the back of her head "Lydia: Yes I was but I was surprised that you actually played with the cat." Di'seh tilted his head at Lydia "Di'seh: Cat?" Lydia stared at Di'seh confused "Lydia: That's the creature you were playing with it's called a cat" Di'seh looked in the direction the cat ran off to "Di'seh: Interesting. Do you humans keep those cats as companions?" "Lydia: Yes we do but it's not just only cats there are Lizards, Dogs, Birds, Fish... Uhhhh really a huge variety of certain animals can be kept as pets for us humans."
Di'seh purred slightly and quietly when listening to Lydia speak he loved the sound of her voice to him it sounded calming and he was quite interested in what else humans do. "Di'seh: Lydia this might seem like a weird question but how do you humans do pairing?" Lydia was confused "Lydia: Pairing? Wait do you mean by being a couple?"
Diseh was thinking how else to say it since she is the only female human he has seen."Di'seh: What I'm trying to understand is how do your uhh customs work in finding the perfect male to pair with you, is it by combat? Or by the display of trophies?" Lydia then got what Di'seh was asking her "Lydia: Ohhh you mean like Partners bonded together through marriage?" "Di'seh: Yes that's the word I'm looking for is a partner and not as in Friends partnership the other one."
Lydia felt like a dumbass for not understanding Di'seh. "Lydia: Well what we do is if the female and male like each other in that type of way they go on dates which is when the 2 get to know each other better to see if they like each other or not if yes then they get bound together through marriage."
Di'seh suddenly wondered if Lydia was with a male she liked "Di'seh: Lydia are you with a male?" Di'seh clicked his mandibles ending the sentence, Lydia nodded yes "Lydia: Yes I am but we are not married we are-were dating." Di'seh felt hurt when she said she was with someone he has no clue why he felt hurt but he quickly pushed it aside "Di'seh: I see well I hope you two get along well."
Lydia immediately went sad and depressed also lost in thought when Di'seh said that. "Di'seh: Lydia?" Lydia snapped out from her thoughts and looked at Di'seh. "Lydia: y-yes?" "Di'seh: Why are you upset?" Lydia was about to say something but she got up and left Di'seh alone on the grass "Lydia: I'd rathers not talk about it..."
Di'seh worried for Lydia he watched her leave him in her depressed state. Di'seh had curiosity all over him not only did he discover things today but that Lydia is hiding something that hurts her and he wants to find out what it is. He got off the grass and followed Lydia, but at a distance so she doesn't know. Di'seh thinks he shouldn't follow her but he does anyway it is kinda funny to him that his father was right about curiosity that it can bring bad outcomes in the end and he learned that the hard way.
