"I've missed you."
My heartbeat rate suddenly increased but while being overwhelmed by the words I'm hearing, I didn't feel my hearts beating.
I was too busy registering his words to focus on my heart."You were right." He said smiling to the floor. "Maybe you were right. Maybe prayers do come true when it rains after all." He pauses.
"Sir-" I try to speak just to be cut of again.
"I've always wanted to thank you for that day. But I never met you. I was afraid I never would be able to thank you." He pauses. But continues, "but I did." He smiled as he nodded assuringly to himself. "Thankyou." He finally says.
"I..-" my phones rings just to cut me again. I curse myself internally as I look at the unknown number that stopped me amid my sentence.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" I hear someone yell through the phone, seemingly worried.
I recognize the voice immediately,
"We are stuck in the park due to the rain, sir. We will be back as soon as possible. Do not worry." I reply assuringly."That must've been Jackson. Cause I left my phone back in the room." Jinyoung Speaks.
"Yup. Why don't you wait here? I'll get us an umbrella and head back to the hospital. Mr. jackson seems really worried." I say being worried myself.
"No. I love it here. Let's wait till the rain stops." He says as he closes his eyes, leans back on the bench and takes a deep satisfied breath.
.
.
"What took you guys so long?" Jackson says as he hears the door open revealing me and Jinyoung.
"The weather?" Jinyoung replies almost sarcastically.
Jackson seemed to be used to the sarcasm since he just rolled his eyes and let it go.
I chuckle at the behavior of the two baby men.
.
.
"You'll be discharge in two days." I say to Jinyoung as I see his annoyed face when on the hospital bed.
He smiled to me as he grabbed the spoon to eat.
"I'll get going now." I say as I look at the young men.
"Noo. I got you food to eat with us!" Jackson says.
"But I already had a sandwich earlier." I say as I smile to him.
"The sandwich you had was 6 hours ago. It's 11pm now." He says matter of factly.
"Join us even if you're not hungry." Jinyoung spoke with his mouth half filled.
"We'd love us some company." Jackson says as he pats the seat next to him motioning me to sit.
.
.
"You were very cute back then." I heard Jackson speak while eating.
"Me?" I ask as I look at him with round eyes and mouth filled with rice.
"Yeah." He replies as he hands me a tissue.
"How do you know?" I say as I wipe off my mouth."You dropped coffee on me in the coffee shop a few years ago and had to pay for my order as compensation."
