The most daring acts require the brave sacrifices. The brave sacrifices start at a place where it's born. Sometimes it's born of the home or of a great mystical world...

Vanquishing the evil, saving the world, giving up even the very essence of life is something that is against the very core of what fragile life we're given. Destined for greatest accomplishments that is put upon our hands, to defy what the fates create into the chaos or to be what crashes to the colliding chaos as the ride is given only to be awaiting the drastic, pit-less fall.

For if there is regret to life, let the regret be of choices that were never made, promises that were unkempt and shattered glass, lies that hiss the oozing venom and bitter lemon. If they were anything that kept the worlds apart, they only were making a classification as there are no 'good angels' or 'bad demons'. There are only what the creators plan, plan when on a white night this began a last journey I shall not forget.

Late into the early December night, the snow fell as we walked down the street. Even if I was looking like dyed beach blonde barbie doll I could always look to the rugged, tanned, over six feet man with his grey hues and glossy, handsome, light brown haired... My ever so be-loving Reed Dalton. We were heading home with our Santa and Frosty containers holding the warm, brown liquid. Looking around I saw the bright lights were on the red brick buildings or vibrant decorations on the windows knowing there was only twenty four days left until we celebrated with presents under the tree and just living free from my book of memories before Reed.

Except that night was different than the past two Christmases I had spent with Reed when we walked from the neighboring homeless shelter we volunteered at. I felt my head tugging to look back as Reed held me close with a laughter I could not resist but to join. Our nights we didn't waste as I tried to move our pace up like usually when I was frighten of the night, especially when the snow was growing more and more by the seconds. Though when home we enjoyed our night together and talk about things in name of the holiday spirits, even talking of plans of visiting his parents since he didn't know much about mine.

Reed only knew that I had a family except my father left after I was born and shortly after turning sixteen I had lost my own mother. I made other things up of being in a foster home until a kind family took me in as their own and introduce the people who made my life the way I had place myself in now. They've even removed so much I know I couldn't go back home, I could return to the pompous life where I was going into an arrange marriage with no actual bond of true love.

I looked back after walking five blocks and out of a glimpse I saw a cloak that seemed to be in a shape of a mysterious figure. Reed tried tugging me back to him as he felt my forehead, for he had found me with a dangerous fever as I tried to make my life on my own right after a dangerous removal of my past. Except Reed insisted as he tried to hold me in his arms leading me to our apartment despite my screams or hitting like a 'girl'.

"Are you sure you're not sick my rose petal?" Reed asked softly.

"I'm fine, Reed. Can we just head home?" I quietly speak as I gently remove the hair out of his face.

"Bree, What's wrong?" Reed started pursuing.

I softly sigh wishing I could tell him the exact truth without sounding like a psycho, except what could I do? Wasn't like our kinds existed knowingly in the human world anymore. My fear of either one finding me with a human lover had scared me, even to a point I would die to keep Reed safe. Except I knew this would only work if I lived here long enough without my past powers for a long time, only I had help from the dark depths to reduce the powers and much of the work.
