"I suspect you can guess the memories mixing with your own. Becoming a meaningless sacrifice for God knows what." Emasux explains slowly, "You think you can change what is to be foreshadow, but there will not be a way to prevent this."
"Once signed in blood, bound by oath." I repeated softly before an outrage yet firm tone increased with my yelling, "All in the name for what Emasux!?!?! To live a few fucking more years! To stay alive while your children pay the price!"
"I didn't have a choice!" Emasux coldly snaps, "I tried doing everything for my little girl, my sweet Edith. I was lucky the Bal' Pankadashans would side with me over my younger sister to protect even in exile."
Standing in bitter silence, I intently keep my eyes on her tattoos and stance. Mostly her one tattoo with raven wings expect with what seems a dove's body. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she started her ancient chant, sending me into my dark abyss.
il giorno di incontrare di nuovo ... Sal' Kiga Silama...
Awakening my breath shook as my heart monitor beeped at the constant pace before looking to see Bishop no where in sight. My mind raced as to why she spoke Italian as if she expects to meet again. Except if my trials were meant to be shaped into this... this sacrifice. only what was the price if I didn't comply, if I had refused.
"Bree?" A soft voice spoke, "May I come in?"
"Come in." I croaked.
The door opened to reveal Levana with another, but younger, Bal' Pankada with almost some resemblance to Levana herself.
"Bree, I'd like you to meet Kat. She's in charge of security here. As well as a head doctor for our infirmary." Levana calmly introduced.
"If you weren't out playing like goddamn idiots then maybe I wouldn't have to be both security and a head doctor." Kat grumbled.
"Then you'd be bored to death with nothing to do, Kat. We're just keeping your life, well interesting." Levana nervously joked as a hand went behind her head.
"If there's anything," Kat stated as she examined me," my life is not damn interesting. Just a pain in the ass."
Erupted laughter rose from Levana and myself while Kat shook her head. Kat finally check and gave the green light in my release to where I was allowed into the house once again. the only condition was more bed rest, more chicken soup and other liquids, but worst was more boredom while chaos erupted outside.
"Just remember this Bree," Levana whispered as she guided me, "You are important, but you must be careful and focus for the days to come."
"Levana, if that was the case." I started before a light, sly smile played its way onto my face, "I would have been dead within these past three years as a human."
The only thing she could do was smile before responding, "Then keep going towards using your brain instead of running."
