"I'm sorry, sir, but Ms. Dawnson is no where to be found." The man reported.
Slowly rising from my desk, my hands slowly shifting to my demon form as I glared the man down. I was on the brink of killing this man for no good news, when really it was entirely my fault for insisting to take her to a human hospital over trusting the Bal' Pankadashans for help. Though now what mattered most was using all my favors I needed to use to find my beloved Bree, no matter the cost.
"Son," My mother spoke gently, "Bree may not be alive."
My eyes snapped as I grasped her neck as she smacked against the wall. Her eyes widen as the guards' swords gently cut into my skin. Releasing my grip my mother collapsed against the wall, her breathe ragging, as her eyes went a dangerous red.
"You do not dictate what happened to her, mother." I snarl, "If anything I do not believe she is dead or I would have felt her connection to me gone."
"How do you know?" Her voice scruffed and bitter, "She could be since she's a wingless abomination."
The room echoed with silence, the cold mists escaping from lips before snarls escaped and my claws shift out. My mother's eyes shifted normally and shakes her head as happy cackle escapes her lips. Her hair partially dishevel and greased started growing grey and thick with the dangerous, red, glowing eyes. In moments the ground started shaking, and then the quick earthquake stopped.
"My dear son, the council just elected your half-ling sister to be the rightful ruler of your place." My mother's voice cackled, "the best part is who gets to rule with her. And he has his eyes set on your blood."
Before she could answer she snapped her fingers. The mist carried out of the basement window where we were kept in to figure out where she may be. But now her wonders pondered upon my head.
Could she really be dead?
