My eyes flutter to wince upon the fresh sunlight as there was windows... Wait, windows? Sitting upward I wince worse as I try moving slower to observe my surroundings. The walls that were of blood now had a purple 'aura' color almost smelling of lavenders instead of well... death and carnage. Just a few feet away my sister was sitting up, alive and healthier then the day before, as the man was by her side in his arms. Confusion hit as my feet move to where they are before sitting at the end. They barely notice as their eyes gazed deeply into each other, until I cleared my throat.
"Um, excuse me sir... but I never got to properly thank you for saving my sister's life or even my own yesterday." I quietly spoke.
"It's alright, call me Ellis." He quickly respond, "Besides I need to look after Edith anyway."
"Edith?" Catarina questioned.
"I'm assuming she's your half-sister." I mutter irksomely.
"No, because my brother was going to marry her." Ellis's voice harden, "That was until our father murdered him in cold blood."
I shook my head, remembering Edith's lover, Eligor, had died by her uncle's hand. Tears spilled down my redden cheeks before I went out on the balcony to gaze among-st the forest life. Foot steps shortly followed as I notice the balcony didn't have a fence and wasn't far from the ground floor, no bones would necessarily be crushed but there'd be no fear except for the injuries we occurred from Red eye.
"You know you could go and I would watch your sister." Ellis quietly offered.
"But how would I know she is safe, Ellis?" I questioned.
He reached and gave me a pocket book with empty pages. I looked at him in disbelief before having a matching one. Just then the pages were written:
This is how most of the Reapers communicate, I can leave this for your sister to communicate with when not supervised or anything should arise. But I cannot guarantee if they'll believe your escape unless you keep contact minimum and plan it perfectly.
You should hit me with something metal that you can think of as of right now and run to the ocean. Do not stop and enter upon the ocean at Dawn for that is where you'll find your first test. Now hurry!
After thinking of a metal pan and whacking hard on the head I took his sword and the book he gave me while leaving the other one in his pocket before bolting towards the woods. They blurted the the brightest greens to the hazy yellows of the leaves before seeing barren sand.
I just hope that Catarina would be safe until I returned.
