"Mina! Get up it's our first day of school" brother jungwoo whispered as he attempted to wake his sister up for their first day in the new school. Mina didn't seem to wake up and snuggled more into her sheets. "If you're not waking up, I'm calling mom" With the threat of mother's name Mina lightly opened her eyes and weakly glared at her brother and grunted. "Okay I'm up" Mina replied in a raspy morning voice and got up from her bed.
"I was so tired yesterday picking up all the boxes and you didn't even bother to help me when I was struggling with them" Mina started complaining as Jungwoo snorted and smirked at her. "Now get out of my room before I kick your butt," Mina said as she slammed her bathroom door in front of her brother's face and drew herself a bath.
Soon Mina and Jungwoo both were settled on the dining table waiting for their breakfast. "Jungwoo, how far is our school from our house?" Mina asked making Jungwoo look up from his phone "I don't know but Dad said it's not that far and it's a straight way with no turns so I guess if we walk enough we will find it on our way" he replied. Mina's mother kept pancakes and orange juice on the table and took a seat opposite her kids.
"Mom, why did we move to the green lake from Seoul? It's not even that great and I don't have any friends here" Jungwoo said. "I know this town almost seems abandoned and I saw no one yesterday night when we were moving in" Mina chipped in. "It's because me and your father grew up in this town and suddenly your dad had some work here, don't blame me. I know it'll be hard for you kids to mix up with this crowd but you'll be okay with it in a month" their mother replied smiling. "At least you have friends here" Jungwoo whined.
"Bye, Mom," Mina and Jungwoo said in unison as they their house for the first day of their new school. They saw the big narrow road in front of them with fog lightly blurring the view. "This town seems so different in the day," Mina said and Jungwoo nodded in agreement both kept walking as they saw a few more kids walking on the same path. They both decided to follow them.
Mina and Jung-woo were now standing in front of a school named Green Lake Highschool. The school seemed decent for a sophomore to study with decent students. "Okay Mina I think the office for sophomores is on the 2nd floor," Jungwoo told Mina as Mina's eyes were looking around the school.
"Here's your schedule Miss Kim" a lady handed over a printed piece of paper. Mina took a look at the paper checking her first period she sighed 'Not science' she whined mentally as she checked the room number and waited for the bell rings for her class to begin.
Mina entered the class and most of the students started looking at her. She got a bit nervous and took a seat which was nearby suddenly the student beside her stopped talking to his friends and turned around to see who it was and eyed Mina. "Why are you sitting here?" He questioned eyeing her almost with a disgusting look. "I-i uh don't know where else to sit" Mina replied nervously as that guy went back to talking to his friends.
Mina already disliked the vibe she was getting from the class. No one even smiled at her warmly or she never felt that she was welcomed here. She just sat there quietly until the class went quiet, Mina looked up to see the teacher. No, nothing but a cold look on his face looking done with the class.
