It was about fourth period, time for Changbin, Felix, and I's Health class. I was ready to just get the hell out of dodge, but I couldn't just walk out, regardless of how much I wanted to. I had to keep my grades up as high as I could, in order to stay... not.. beaten the hell up, I guess.
So I walked in with Changbin at my side and Felix beside him. They held hands, intently listening in on a story I was telling them that happened to me over the summer.
It was about Clarence the Rabbit.
Clarence the Rabbit was a bunny I found in my shed. I took care of the little bunny because it was cute, just like me. So I kept feeding it and all that stupid.. parenting type shit and one day, it just disappeared. When I got home that day after school, kinda sad about Clarence's disappearance, my German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix walked up to me with said bunny in her jaws. Now, mind you, I was like.. maybe eight and this traumatized me. Clarence's tongue was hanging out and his eyes were rolled in the back of his head. I don't think I've screamed any louder than I did when I saw my poor bunny friend.
Anyway, when I was finished with the story, I looked over at my two gay as fuck friends to see their reaction and both looked just as traumatized as I was when I saw Clarence.
"That's horrible, Hyunjin," Felix murmured, his deep voice grumbly. I wouldn't be surprised if he could shake the earth with his voice to be honest.
"It's life, man," I said back and then sat in my seat once we arrived to the Health classroom.
We all sat there, talking about whatever came to mind really until the annoying as fuck teacher, extremely loudly, said;
"Oh! You must be the new student! Kim Seungmin?"
That kid...
Apparently, he was in our fourth period, without that bitchy Jeongin guy with him.
That made me smile a little too widely.
I could mess around with him. Not bully him or anything, just poke fun at him.
He only nodded to the teacher, and I watched the scene unravel before my eyes.
"Alright. Let's find you a seat," the teacher said, looking around. She finally set her eyes in between the seat that separated Changbin and I and her eyes lit up, and so did mine, but not in the same way.
"You can sit in between..." she paused, thinking about her decision once more before deciding that it was alright. "Changbin and Hyunjin in the back!" she exclaimed and I felt myself smile smugly. This would be lots of fun.
The color from Seungmin's face was drained completely and his eyes bulged out of his skull. I chuckled simply at him, letting my smug smirk show.
Other students looked between us, blinking at us with disbelief, like they couldn't believe the teacher would stick anyone between us.
He slowly started back to his new seat after bowing respectfully to the teacher and the moment he sat down, we all basically stared at him.
Then, the stupid fucking teacher handed out a worksheet she wanted us to do and I grumbled, wanting to take the damn paper, crumble it up, and throw it across the room. But I remained silent for the most part, and in fact, did not throw the paper across the room, even though I desperately wanted to.
The one thing I did do was not do anything on that worksheet. I didn't write one thing on that piece of paper the entire period, just pretending to be writing even when I wasn't. Finally, I decided to play a little game with the new kid.
I grabbed my pencil and "accidentally" dropped it onto the ground beside Seungmin, and as I thought, he picked it up and gingerly put it on my desk.
My smirk was more prominent now and I murmured a small;
"Thanks, princess~" before continuing to act like I was actually doing something. I could see his face redden from the corner of my eye and I let out a small chuckle. Just then, the bell rang and as quickly as he could, Seungmin got up, and ran out of the classroom.
I knew it was because of me. Did I care? Not one bit.
I got up as well, following my friends out with my million dollar "I'm going to kill you in your sleep" smirk plastered onto my lips.
