A/N:

there's the wittle puppy Seungmin saw ☝️

//

I ended up staying with that puppy for a total of three hours in that alley.

It was about 9:00 pm when I left. But I didn't leave without the puppy. I picked him up very gently, cooing at him and telling him he was a good boy...but then again, it could be a girl, I didn't think to check.

I'd have to take him to the vet after I got home. The poor pup had chicken wire wrapped up in his leg and some of the wire was cutting into it. I thought I could see the bone a little bit.

Once I returned home, cuddling the shaking, scared puppy to my chest, I instantly called for my mom. She'd be home by now, she only worked until around 7:30.

She didn't answer, but popped her head around the corner of the kitchen, gasping when she saw what I held in my hands.

"Aww! Poor little pup," she said and I smiled as that's almost exactly what I had said earlier when I had first found the abandoned dog.

"We got to take him to the vet. Poor pup has chicken wire around his back leg," I told her and showed her the slightly rotten leg. She gasped and then stomped her foot.

"I can't believe people do this!"

"Mom, we don't know if people did it.." I insisted, but it very much looked... planned.

"It's so mean.." she murmurs sadly and then gets her slippers and a jacket, looking around and locating her keys which were placed on the coffee table, right next to where I was sitting with Hyunjin just a few hours before.

We headed to the nearest vet, watched as the doctor explained that it was a little boy puppy. The doctor also said that they'd need to anesthetize him and get surgery to take the imbedded chicken wire out of his little leg. He said that the puppy would probably be staying about a week with them.

They asked where I had found him.

"Oh... I was just out for a walk, listening to my music and I heard whining from the alleyway.. so I was curious and went down. Poor guy was in a box that had a bunch of his own poop and fleas in it," I cringed at what I had seen and heavily sighed.

"Alright. We'll get him all fixed up," the doctor says and then turns to my mom. "After everything's said and done, we can put him up for adoption."

My mom hesitates and then shakes her head a little, dismissing his idea.

"No. That won't be necessary. I-I... I think we'll just go ahead and adopt the little guy. He seemed to warm up to Seungmin anyhow."
