After Hyunjin left my house with that Aquaphor smelling up my house, I ate the rest of my cookies in silence, wondering why the hell he had initiated that kiss. I know he didn't like me, it was kinda obvious. So it was a mystery to me why he would do something far fetched like that.

I hummed and then shrugged, putting away everything that I had gotten out while Hyunjin was over and then sat down, a little piece of paper catching my eye. I blinked for a couple of seconds and leaned forward, picking it up. I wasn't usually one to leave stuff out like this so I was wondering what it was. I read the little piece of paper and my face erupted into a large smile.

"Thanks for everything. Nice to know you a little more. Sorry about me being a douche before, you're actually kinda cool. Text me sometime. (xxx-xxx-xxxx)

~H"

I blushed a little at the fact he put his number and held it close to my heart, sighing lightly. I grabbed for my phone which was situated on the coffee table, putting in Hyunjin's number and then creating a new contact for it; Hwang💓

I would probably end up texting him later, but I was feeling pretty good about myself and wanted to get out a bit. I decided to get a little fresh air and get out of my jammies.

Spending time with Hyunjin made me feel a lot less sick too. I felt more willing to do things and my fever seemed to have gone down a little too. Maybe he was just a miracle boy or something.

The more I thought about this, the more I believed it in all honesty.

I changed out of my Chimmy jammies and put on a grey hoodie over top of a plain white shirt, and then some black jeans. I even did my hair and makeup a little bit better. I wouldn't even lie, I was looking pretty good. My confidence went through the roof when I looked in the mirror and I smiled gently at my reflection, grabbing my phone and some earbuds, turning on my DAY6 playlist.

Shoot Me was the first song on and I smiled brightly, singing along gently to the tune as I went down the street, away from my house. I swear, I walked all over town, just singing to myself happily and not caring what others think.

Until I turned the corner into an alley.

I didn't know where I was going, I was too in my own little world to see that I wasn't on the sidewalk anymore. But when I finally looked up and took in where I was, I paused and took out an earbud nervously.

I'd never really explored the alleyways, never had a reason to. Hesitation took set and I began to head back when a sudden crying out caught my attention. It seemed to be in the alley, and the crying wasn't human.

I ventured forward hesitantly, calling out to see if anyone was there. No one replied except for the constant whining that continued to ring throughout the alleyways.

I turned the corner into yet another dark, murky alley and came across a damp, moldy box. The whining was coming from there. With great fear, I opened the box to see a little pup, abandoned, shaking.

When I opened the box, it jumped back, yelping.

"Oh no, it's okay!" I assured and then stepped away, putting my hands up. I saw the fear flash across the pup's eyes and I noticed that he was hurt. Seemed to be limping on his back leg, but it was dark and he wouldn't let me get a good look at his leg. "Poor puppy..." I whispered and then sat down a little ways away from the box, looking at the big brown eyes that looked back at me.

"Come here, I won't hurt you, little guy," I cooed, putting my hand out for the dog to sniff at. Through what seemed like hours of cooing, the little pup stepped out of its home. It was a white little dog, covered in its own filth, limping towards me to sniff me.

It reminded me so much of Hyunjin, I started crying.
