What I didn't know when I left that classroom is that I was now a saving target. Yep, you read right. A saving target. Not a bullying target where I would once again be constantly bullied, but I would from now on, be constantly saved.
At lunch, the guy who stood up to Hwang Hyunjin approached me and asked if I was okay. He was very tall, probably around 6'2, with those intense ass eyebrows.
"Are you okay? Did Hyunjin... do anything to you?" He asked and I was a bit creeped out. Why would he ask that? Has he done anything to people in the past? Am I Hwang's next target? All sorts of dark questions swirled in my brain, but I managed to get out a tiny answer to his strange question.
"No," I whispered gently, hugging my lunch tray close to my chest. I just wanted to go over and sit next to Jeongin and not have to be reminded about Hyunjin again, but I couldn't with a stupid giant in my way.
"Good... steer clear of him, for you and your friends' sake," he said into my ear before brushing past me. That murmur shot a shiver up my spine and I clutched my lunch tray to my chest before getting in line to get food.
Once I got out of the snail-moving lunch line, I made a beeline for the table which Jeongin, Chan, and Woojin were currently occupying.
"Hey, Seungmin, why was that guy talking to you?" Woojin asked in a hushed voice and I looked up from my tray, looking over at the giant turning the corner quickly like a pack of wild dogs were hot on his heels.
"Ah.. he stood up to Hyunjin bothering me in fourth period, no biggie," I hoped that they would drop it, but of course, they didn't. I was bombarded with questions from all three.
"What happened in fourth period?"
"Who is that guy?"
"How does Hyunjin know him?"
I wanted to escape this question hell.
"Guys... I'm just.. I don't feel very well. Can we just sit and eat and talk about something normal?" I requested quietly and they all nodded. Then we went on to talk about everything else, besides that strange guy and Hyunjin.
