(Still Lindsay’s POV:)

As I woke up with my TV in my room on, wait- how did I get here when I was on the couch sleeping? I checked the time on my iHome.

Woah!

It’s already 6:30? I must have slept in when my parents came home!

I looked around and didn’t see my parents anywhere, but as I stood up, I can hear the grill in the backyard, must be Burger Tuesday.

I went in the back and saw my parents laughing with a few co-workers.

Well this is just nice; they must have seen me sleeping, and they transferred me to my bedroom.

How long were they here?

What did I miss?

I went to the bathroom to make myself look clean.

Just as I was about to go to the backyard, my cell phone rings with One Direction’s ‘Taken’

It must be Ryan again.

I hit the ‘ignore’ button and went to the backyard.

“Hi mom and dad, this must be your new co-workers,” I say while smiling.

“Hey hon! We just saw a note taped on the front door, Cody came here correct?” asked my mom.

I nodded my head and smiled.

“I’m sorry, what you have been through with that boy, I promise, we’ll understand next time,” my mom says smiling weakly.

I nodded my head and smiled.

My parents did understand a little about my love life, just after Ryan and I broke up, my mom couldn’t stand any other guys who dates me, and my dad will just make fun of them to make me smile.

“So this must be Lindsay, I can tell that she gets her looks from her mother,” says one lady smiling.

“Yup, this is Lindsay, our only child,” says my dad smiling.

“Y’all look like one big happy family!” added a man while lifting up his water glass and making a toast.

My parents raised their glasses as well and made a toast.

“Go ahead and grab a burger,” says my dad handing me a plate.

“Mkay,” I say while going to the grill, getting a bun and filling my plate.

I was really hungry, I didn’t eat lunch yet, cause I was really tired.

But I didn’t care, I just wanted to eat.

After I filled up my plate with the food I wanted to eat I just sat down on our patio table and ate silently.

Just as I was finishing up, my cell phone rings again, but this time with ‘Not Just You’

I already knew who was calling.

Cody…

“Hey!” I say while smiling.

“Hey angel, what’cha doin?” he asked me while chuckling.

“I’m eating a burger ha ha,” I replied while getting up and going inside the kitchen.

“Can I have some then?” he asked me.

“You’ll have to come over then, it’s Burger Tuesday,” I explained while giggling.

“I’m coming over,” says Cody.

“There are other people in the backyard right now, besides you live right next to me, and I can just bring it over there to you,”
