“Guys! Wake up! 4th of July! 7 am! Up and at em!” called my dad from mine and Cody’s guest bedroom at my uncle and aunt’s house.
“Ughh no! Five more minutes please dad??” I called out, flipping the pillow over my head.
“Gotta get up! We’re doin’ something special! Up and at em Lindsay!” called out dad.
I groaned and flipped the pillow back.
I opened up my eyes and see sleepy Cody still sleeping, but he has no shirt on.
I giggled quietly and looked at him. I took my pillow and gently hit it at his face to wake him up.
“Stop! I’m trying to get some peace and I wanna sleep,” he groaned flipping over.
He is not a morning person is he?
Now it’s my turn to wake him up while using my hands and dragging him about five inches from the bed.
“Okay, if that’s how you wanna play it,” I say giggling, hoping off the bed. I lifted up the covers and saw his feet. I dragged it a few inches from the pillow.
“Woah! Woah! Okay! You got me this time! I’m awake now!” he said, laughing weakly and looking up from the covers.
“Boy, you gotta put a shirt on while sleeping,” I say giggling and walking towards his side of the bed.
“I thought you like your boyfriend without a shirt on,” he replies smiling and taking my hand and putting it into his.
“Yeah, at the pool, I’m kidding, I love you, even without your shirt on,” I say kissing him softly on the lips.
He pulled me closer to him, making me sit right in his lap. His fingers running through my hair, his lips making an entrance into mine, my fingers running through his hair. We crashed into the wall making a loud thump noise. I hope no one heard that, everyone is awake besides me and Cody. He trailed kisses along my neck, sending chills along my back and my spine; I tilted my neck so he could send more kisses down.
“I don’t think we should do this yet,” I interrupted pulling my neck back from Cody’s soft lips.
“You’re right, I’m sorry angel, I shouldn’t have done that,” he says running his hand through his hair.
“No, I’m sorry, I was the one who started it,” I say sighing.
“It’s okay angel, I understand you,” Cody says winking. He hopped off the bed, changed into his clothes and walked out of the bedroom.
I hopped out of bed and pulled out my usual Fourth of July clothes. Denim shorts, my graphic white tee of the American Flag, white shoes, and my hair in a ponytail and with a bandana as a headband.
I walked down to greet my relatives down for breakfast.
“Good morning everyone! How is everybody doing this fine morning?” I say kissing my grandparents on the cheek and hugging them.
