Chapter Two
I slowly opened my eyes and instantly regretted it. The bright light caused a major headache to erupt in my head, causing me to groan. I leaned back against the soft pillow and closed my eyes, hoping it would help my headache.

I shot straight up, my eyes flying open. Where am I? What happened?

Images of the three men and the chloroform instantly filled my head. I groaned and let my head fall into my hands.

"Are you okay," a voice questioned from across the room.

My whole body jolted, my heart beating a mile a minute. I slowly rose my head and looked in the direction of the voice. A guy sat on a stool in the corner of the room. His hair is dark and all over the place, his eyes a warm brown. He's as built as the three men from before, but he has a gash from right below his eye going diagonal down his cheek. He's attractive, even with the scar. If anything, the scar makes him more rugged and sexy. He's actually one of the most attractive males that I've ever seen.

"Who are you," I asked, ignoring his previous question.

"My name is Aiden," the guy informed me, leaning against the wall behind him.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "We both know that's not what I meant."

Aiden sighed. "I'm a prisoner, kind of like you. Both in this holding room to wait for questioning."

I tilted my head. "What did you do?"

"I kept some information from the king that he didn't appreciate. He told me to tell you when you wake that he will send for someone to come for you shortly."

Instead of answering, I took in my surroundings.

I was expecting a cell, with cement floors and leaky ceilings. Instead, it's just a small bedroom much nicer than anything I've ever been in. I'm sitting on a bed pushed into the corner. There's a few chairs scattered about, and a small desk against the wall across from the bed. There's a mirror above it, and I decided to get up and check out how bad I'm looking right about now.

I stood up slowly on shaky legs. Black spots filled my vision and I stumbled slightly. Aiden was at my side in an instant, steadying me.

"Woah there. Maybe take it easy a little bit? Who knows how much chloroform Kyle and his gang gave you to keep you under on the journey," Aiden informed me.

I shook him off, not needing the help. "Where am I?"

"You're in the daemonium realm," Aiden stated, stepping back a few steps to give me space.

"You say that like I'm supposed to know what it means," I informed him, crossing my arms over my chest.

Aiden ran his hands through his long hair and sighed. "I've never had to explain it to someone before. How much do you know about what you are?"

I shrugged. "Not much. Just that my mother left me to hide me from my father. That's really about it."

Aiden whistled slowly and closed his eyes. "So you know nothing."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Sorry! How was I supposed to know anything, I grew up without birth parents to explain things."
