Chapter Twenty Six
"I'm bored," Selene announced as she dramatically plopped onto her back on my bed.Amilia looked up at her from her spot on the floor and sighed. "I know you're mad that I won't let you go to the human world, but it's not like we'd even be able to get there."
I bit my lip, knowing we probably would have a way there. I held my tongue, also knowing that this was just Amilia's excuse to make sure we wouldn't be able to go.
Selene groaned and flipped over so that she was on her stomach, facing us. "There's gotta be something we can do. We all need a break from this. Especially Freya. The poor girl is practically suffocating."
I didn't even bother protesting. She's right. I need a break. All this extra practice and working out is really getting to my head. I'm sure it's making me healthier, but it's also draining me. Not just physically, but mentally too.
Amilia bit her lip, considering. "I know. But how would we get there? The only people who know how to make portals are the people that would in no way help us ever."
"What if we didn't need them," I stated, examining my nails.
Selene's head perked up. "What are you saying?"
I shrugged, a smirk taking over my features. "A little birdie told me that water wraiths can travel through realms-"
Amilia shook her head. "No. No way. They are evil creatures and if they don't accept us they will eat us. They don't abide by our laws, Freya. That's practically suicide."
My smirk grew. "Now what if I told you a certain water wraith owes me a favor."
Selene's eyes grew wide, a huge smile taking over her features. "Water wraiths never go back on their deals. But are you sure this is what you want to use it for?"
I shrugged. "I'm dying here. And what else would I need to travel through realms for?"
Amilia shook her head. "Favors like that are super valuable. Using it for something this stupid is not a good idea, Freya."
"Amilia, this place is suffocating me. We all need a break. We won't be in the human world for very long, I promise."
"Time also works differently there. An hour or two there is the whole night here. We can't spend more than two hours there," Amilia informed us, though I could hear the tone of her voice as she began to cave.
Selene heard it too, because she jumped up and grinned. "Let's do this thing!"
I laughed and shook my head. "Not in that."
Selene looked down at her comfy clothes and shrugged. I slowly rose to my feet and walked to my closet. Let's see if there's anything worthy of a human club in this thing.
It took me about a half hour to find each of us an outfit. The closet is large, and most of it is too fancy for any human club I have ever been to. Thankfully, there are some normal people clothes in here that I was able to work with.
For Selene, I picked out a grey high waisted skirt and a black long sleeve shirt to be tucked into it. The shirt covers everything except from the belly button up in a small v, where only zig zagging fabric covers her skin. To match the outfit, I grabbed satin knee high boots. I decided she should leave her hair down, but parted it so that most of it is flipped onto one side. She looks hot as hell, if I do say so myself.
For Amilia, I found a black over the shoulder dress. The sleeves go down to her elbows, but don't lay on her shoulders. The dress falls just about mid thigh, and hugs her body perfectly. I decided to throw her hair into a high ponytail and curl the ends. I finished the look with a pair of wedges that cover her whole foot except for her toes. Like Selene, she looks hot as hell.
