Chp.18 - Soul Mate Card

"So, that's how I ended up screwing everything up with Scott," I finished and looked up at Krystal. I told her about who Brandon was, when we met, how he left , how they killed his pack and why I left Scott to go to him. I thought Krystal would judge me like anyone else would do, but she didn't.

I waited for her to tell me something. Give me an advice or tell me how stupid I was. I was prepared for all of that, but she just looked at me like she pitied me. She shook her head and gave me a sad smile.

Krystal stood up and walked inside the kitchen. I followed her. "Wait! Aren't you going to say anything? Not even insult me?" I grabbed her arm stopping her from walking away from me.

She turned around, "You already know what you have to do, it seems to me that you're being selfish when it comes to Scott."

I gaped at her and she nodded. "Me? Selfish? Something is grammatically wrong in that sentence." She was saying that I was the selfish one? Did she not get the part where Scott told me he didn't want me anymore? Jeez, we have more important issues than my love life like Krystal's inability to listen.

Krystal walked through the front door leaving me alone. She didn't turn around once or said any wise words.

"Anna booty!!!" Tori yelled from outside. "I'm hungry. It's like a ward is going on in my tummy."

I slammed my head against the wall and groaned. I grabbed a cereal box and took it to Tori who was outside digging a hole in the ground. I threw the cereal box and it landed at her side. She looked at it and crunched her nose. "This has no sugar," she protested.

I nodded. "That's the point. What are you doing anyways?" I doubted I wanted to know, but it was probably best to figure it out before I got in trouble.

"I'm digging a tunnel to China," she said as she kept digging with her hands. "I'll be there by tonight... or tomorrow, depends how much sugar I eat."

I chuckled. "You can't do that, because you'll find a layer of rock and if you manage to get through that, there's magma and lava, which is extremely hot and there is no way you'll get past that.Unfortunately none of my sisters can be that stupid. So, let's try again. What are you doing?" I crossed my arms over my shoulder tapping my foot impatiently.

Tori looked at me and said flatly, "digging up your grave. I'll make sure it's as close to the 'lava' as it can be."

I smiled sweetly at her and chuckled lightly. "Eat the cereal, you said a war was going-" I stopped talking and remembered a war that might happen if I didn't do something about it. Oh crap, now I was seriously in a mess much too deep.

I grabbed Tori by the sleeve of her shirt and dragged her around the house. "Hurry, we need to go to the pack house. Where's dad? Dad?!?!" I yelled looking frantically around. I kept pulling at Tori as I walked away from the house.

Tori dug her feet to the ground and I let go of her sleeve. She stood up and glared at me. "Dad's not here, he's at a meeting."

Well, I still needed to get to the pack house, I'll tell my dad later what will be occurring if we don't stop it.

I ran ahead of Tori to the pack house knowing that she would follow me, well, I was sorta hoping that she would. Considering the fact that I couldn't turn back around and see if she was. I needed to get to the pack house, even if zombies stood in my way.
