Chp.23- Ice Cream Makes Everything Better

After Scott and the other's left I went back to my room and finished unpacking. I had already made a schedule for today and after this I was going to the cafeteria to have breakfast Then maybe I could find Juliette and Abby and explore this place.

I had just shoved my suitcase under the bed when there was a rapid knocking on the door.

That was weird I wasn't expecting anyone. Well, I wasn't expecting anyone to be up and awake this early. I checked my phone on the bedside table, the clock read 8:00 a.m. Yep, definitely early.

I walked to the door but didn't open it.

"Who ever it is, I warn you I have bullets made of silver with wolfsbane in them!" I warned to whoever was standing on the other side of the door.

I heard a familiar laugh at the other side of the door. I turned the knob and opened the door to a laughing Juliette and an astonished Abby.

"Silver and wolfsbane?" Abby asked, "Isn't that to harsh?"

"Who would believe you?" Juliette asked. "Only someone very stupid or naive would think Scott would let you have poison."

I scowled at Juliette and gestured for them to step inside the room. "I'll have you known that I'm one of the best fighters you'll come across as." I closed the door behind them.

Juliette rolled her eyes and sat on the floor near the bed, while Abby laid on the bed on her stomach. I sat next to Juliette and faced Abby. They looked at me worriedly and nervous. I now realized that Juliette at this time was sleeping. I mean the girl woke up only when she smelled the food from the cooking at noon.

As for Abby, she was always a morning person, but she spent most of her time in her room. Then, in the evening she would make herself noticeable.

"Why are you here?" I asked them. I didn't bother beating around the bush, that would just mean that Juliette would have an opportunity to swerve the answer.

Juliette shrugged her shoulders and avoided my question. Abby bit her lower lip and looked down at the floor. OKay, then. Don't even try to lie, it's not like I would notice anyways.

"Okay then. So where's Juliette?" I asked them. Recently she's been no where in sight and it's odd not having her around. She was the reasonable one in the group obviously.

"Moping around her room because Dimitri left," Juliette grumbled. "She's been eating ice cream since an hour ago."

Hmmm, now I wish I had some ice cream too.

"Do you think she's?,"Abby asked letting the unfinished question linger in the air.

"She's what? Mentally depressed? Hell yeah," Juliette confirmed.

Abby snickered and looked unimpressed at Juliette. I had to admit, even that was a bit too stupid for Juliette. "No. What I meant was, do you think she's carrying a little Dimitri in her?"

"Wouldn't surprise me with all that-" Juliette was cut off by my hand over her mouth.

"We get the picture Jules, and that may be possible if you think about it." Abby suggested and got up the floor.

"What's this?" Abby asked holding the envelope Scott had left for me. She took the note out. Before she could finish unfolding it I ripped it out of her hands and she looked startled at me.

"That. Is personal," I said. I opened the drawer next to the bed and placed the note inside.

Juliette now held the envelope on her left and and had the necklace of the blue moon on her right hand. "Holy sapphire! Did my brother really do this for you?"
