beware of mistakes; i'll revise later

OPENING THE FRONT DOOR, you are greeted short arms being rapped around your neck and cute giggles.

"onii-san!" your younger sister sakura grins, earning an affectionate pat on her head.

fully walking into your home, you take off your coat, throwing it somewhere on the leather couch before picking up sakura who just simply continues to giggle.

however, your father, all the way from the kitchen, chatises the young girl. "sakura," he warns, followed by the sound of more chopping of the vegetables. "what did ms.tan tell you, we live in korea, it's time to learn how to use korean honorifics."

your dad comes out of the kitchen and into the living room area, "world's greatest dad" decorating his apron that's covered in food stains.

"oh, welcome home, son," he greets, ruffling your hair which causes you grin.

sakura nods her head understandably, dark black bangs falling over her eyes which causes you to push them out of her sight.

kissing her cheek you say, "aw, it's okay, father. there's nothing wrong with remembering where you come from."

before your dad can answer you, loud footsteps are heard from upstairs, sounding like a heard of elephants.

"is that kai-hyung?" the twins say at the same time.

both boys come running down the stairs, jumping over the last four, and rushing to give you a big hug.

over all the chaos you hear dad say, "learn from your brothers, sweetie," taking sakura out of your arms and putting her on his back. she grabs onto his neck, grinning widely.

"appa!" she chants over and over again as dad praises her, walking back into the kitchen.

"mamoru! endou!" you say, patting your brothers' backs in a cool way. "how was school?"

mamoru trys to talk first but is then interrupted by the 20 minute old brother—endou. "it was great, there's this hot chick, super fine, i tell you..."

you first moved to korea when your mother was first diagnosed with cancer, for she always wanted to live in seoul, and experience the busy city, as well as give her children a great education.

being 15, mamoru and endou 9, and sakura 3, you all had a hard time learning korean customs. especially the younger three. you spent half the year in japan for middle school and the other half in korea before going into high school which was much harder than you thought, only knowing how to speak Japanese and conversational korean.

thankfully, the half year in korea allowed you to meet chaeyoung who teached you how to speak the language.

"hyung," endou speaks up. "let's go eat dinner, dad has finished it."

you nod, taking the boy's arm and leading him into the kitchen, mamoru following closely behind.

...

after dropping dahyun off at her home, her grandparents waiting with excited smiles, tzuyu arrives home to mina sitting on the porch with a mug in her hands.

"mina-unnie," she bows, sitting down on the swing with her.

mina hums, looking beside her at the beautiful younger girl who rests her head on mina's shoulder.

"how was school, young one?" she asks, taking a sip of her coffee. "make any friends."

tzuyu turns a darker shade, blushing as she looks back at her day. she contemplates wether telling mina or keeping it to herself.

"just acquaintances, dahyun says hi, by the way," tzuyu tries to quickly change the topic before mina can question more about her new 'acquaintances.' "so where's momo? and sana?"

this seems to make mina forget about the old subject. "momo's at the studio, practicing. and sana had to stay after school to study at the library."

tzuyu always forgets that her unnies still go to school—university to be exact, since they still have time to come home and cook, clean, and have fun.

"why didn't you go with momo to dance practice?" tzuyu asks, hoping she didn't upset mina by saying this, still unsure of how deep they are into their fight.

mina sighs, a sense of longing coming out in what she says. "she didn't tell me we had practice today, so i didn't know until i saw the note on the door."

"oh," tzuyu says, sympathetically.

although mina never shows it, tzuyu knows exactly how she feels about momo:

love

"it's fine though, i get to hang out with you," mina smiles down at tzuyu, sitting upright and taking the last sip of her coffee. "let's go get some take out."

...

this is a filler chapter, since i haven't had as much time as i would like. i also wanted to fit in your (kai) family somehow and let you meet them. anyway, thank you so much for all the votes❤️
