"SHE MUST HAVE GOTTEN TOO WORKED UP," jihyo concluded, wetting another towel to mop the floor as she hears chaeyoung gag.

she had demanded to scrub herself clean in the shower, and the girls felt so bad for her, they just had to agree. she did get barfed on after all.

tzuyu was in another bathroom, the one upstairs, with dahyun who was rubbing her back, soothingly.

"that's it, breathe," she said calmly to tzuyu who heaved out another round of vomit. dahyun tried to conceal her cringe.

jihyo had never seen so much gross things in one house, so after the kitchen became empty, she decided to get working on cleaning the area.

once the floor was done being mopped, she moved her tasks to the living room. picking up bottles and wrappers, dusting the tables, and ridding of the scent of vomit, jihyo had summoned her inner house wife.

she was surprised that in the time it took her to clean both the kitchen and the living room, no one had come downstairs.

jihyo sat on the now empty couch, smiling in content at the view. the furniture was polished and smelling of lemon, windows were like crystal, and the carpet was freshly vacuumed.

picking up a magazine to pass the time, jihyo saw an article about the nine membered girl group she knew you liked.

"idol life must suck," she concluded after reading, closing to booklet shut once she heard footsteps behind her.

"you're back, i would've thought you'd spend a lot more time," jihyo remarked at seeing chaeyoung with her hair up in a white, soft towel.

she scowled a little, shuddering at the thought. "my skin started turning red from all the scrubbing, so i had to g—"

she can't even finish her sentence when a loud belch comes from upstairs followed by dahyun saying, "there there, just breathe."

"i just finished texting kai, he's coming over," chaeyoung announces, mumbling under her breath, "or at least i think he is, that stupid boy."

"weird isn't?" jihyo asks, thinking. "is it healthy to throw this much up?"

chaeyoung sits beside jihyo. "i want to know how sana could have left tzuyu in this mess unless they left before it got dirty."

"most likely yeah."

"how are you and the leo dude?" chaeyoung asks.

jihyo blushes, wishing the small talk could move to another topic. "g-good. he's very nice, thank you."

"you should thank nayeon, dahyun, and tzuyu. what would've happened without them?"

she decided to change the topic. "how are you feeling, about kai leaving and all. everyone is worried about tzuyu, but they seem to forget you're his best friend, too. so how are you?"

chaeyoung is a bit taken aback by the sudden question. but jihyo was right. everyone was asking tzuyu how she felt, rightfully so, but chaeyoung would be just as affected by the news. the boy who had been by her side for more than half of her life would be moving out of the country, and it would hard for chaeyoung to go visit him—money was something she would lack especially when she needs to pay her own college tuition.

"i–i'm going to miss him, that's for sure," chaeyoung breathes out, finding it hard to say anything. "but i have hope that when he returns, he won't forget about us–or tzuyu–i know kai, he isn't the type to leave and never talk to those he cares about again. you know he still texts his friends from japan sometimes?"
