POINT OUT ANY MISTAKES PLEASE!

"THANK YOU SO MUCH, DAHYUN-EE!"

dahyun bowed at momo who grinned at the girl. you scoff at dahyun's cocky expression.

the gift exchange was currently in motion. all the girls were so in love with dahyun's gifts just like dahyun said they would be. of course you challenged that they would like yours better, but after mina's reaction to the concert tickets, you highly doubt it.

stupid dahyun.

"wanna pay up now, kai?" she teases. "or do you still think you'll win?"

you roll your eyes. "just wait and watch."

sana hugged dahyun upon seeing the colored polaroid. "best gift ever!"

chaeyoung tried to hold in her laughter as she watched you fume.

"best gift ever," dahyun repeated into your ear.

swatting her away, you reached for your gifts. "just wait 'till you open mine."

giving each person their designated gift, you bow to the girls who smile thankfully. chaeyoung smacked you upside the head. "he meant to say, 'ours.' they gifts are from the both of us."

"no, they aren't—"

"he's kidding, they are."

you let her slide on this one. dahyun, however, smirks and says now she can beat the both of you. chaeyoung's stare shuts her up.

first up is momo who excitedly rips open the square packaging. her face is concentrated in not ripping all the wrapping paper into shreds, probably to reuse it for the next year. unknowingly to you, dahyun had taken her phone out to record, what she thought would be horrible reactions.

as soon as momo sees the box with the camera's logo print, a loud shriek is let out of her small mouth. you wonder how something so high pitched and big could come out of such a small body.

tzuyu turns to sana, disbelief written all over her face. "what the..."

"kai! you got me a new camera?" momo is close to tears which catches mina's attention who wraps an arm around her. "that's so nice of you; i was wanting a new one recently."

a noise of annoyance comes from dahyun as you turn to high five chaeyoung who grins back at you.

"you can finally record and edit new videos, momo!" sana says.

"you're so right, thank you, dahyun and kai—" momo smiles at the two of you, genuinely.

"—and chaeyoung," chaeyoung calls out.

dahyun laughs at the look on your face. of course as soon as you get a compliment, it has to be ruined by how 'amazing' her gifts were.

you hand mina her gift at the same time sana reaches for hers. as they take their time to persevere more wrapping paper, you watch their faces turn into one of surprise once they reach their destinations.

"ballet shoes!"

"kai, new utensils? you shouldn't have that's too sweet!"

"chaeyoung is sweet too," she calls out once again.

chaeyoung nudges dahyun who scowls while continuing to record the girls.

tzuyu sits up straighter, arms outstretched. "my turn?" her statement is a question as she sees you're not going to hand over anything.

"i want to give you your gift later," you tell her, sitting down beside her on the couch.

she nods her head, subtly scooting closer to you, but not too close to where dahyun's grandparents would scold them for being crazy, horny teenagers.
