tomorrow is my birthday😨

"SO IN CONCLUSION, THAT'S WHY AUSTIN AND ALLY IS THE LAST GOOD SHOW DISNEY CHANNEL PUT OUT."

momo takes one look at sana who had her arms crossed over her chest, confident in her little speech she just gave. she suddenly bursts out into laugher, slapping mina's thigh from beside her because she can't contain her fit of giggles.

"i'm sorry, sana," momo wheezes out. "i had to laugh. austin and ally, really? andi mack says hi."

sana shrugs, rolling her eyes, and continues to poke at the fried chicken on her plate. however, mina is having none of this buffoonery.

"the only good thing about andi mack are the lessons, you know gravity falls exists," mina fights back, slapping momo's hand from off her thigh. momo shakes her head in disgust.

"you cannot compare gravity falls to the masterpiece that is andi mack," momo almost sounds offended.

mina brings her face in closer to the girls, "oh, but i just did," she says, taking some of momo's fried chicken, ignoring the whine of protest that leaves her lips. "but we can all agree, austin and ally was not the best last show of disney channel, end of conversation."

"shut up, you watch shake it up re-runs, and you're an adult," sana shoots back.

mina shrugs, completely nonchalant. "i will not deny that claim, but rather feel no shame and accept it."

you and tzuyu look at each other in utter confusion and the mess in front of you. momo and mina eating fried chicken along with sana who looks ready to punch someone for saying stuff about austin and ally.

honestly, you had no care for tv. it just wasn't your cup of tea, so you didn't join in the conversation and neither did tzuyu, who just asked to be passed the salt, and that's when the whole argument broke out.

you lean into tzuyu to whisper in her ear. "what is austin and ally?"

she shrugs her shoulders, having no clue as well. you assume she must have been to busy studying to have watched any tv, seems like a tzuyu thing to do.

tzuyu invited you over for dinner today with momo, mina, and sana. you were very excited seeing as all week you had spent it packing and buying essentials. you really needed a break, and to see your girlfriend, who you hadn't seen since you ran out of the house the day she was sick. you actually don't know if she's feeling better, chaeyoung tells you the sickness comes and goes.

some people find it absurd, mostly chaeyoung, that you are packing so early. you aren't leaving for another month, yet your whole room is in boxes. but your reasoning is simply one word: excitement.

it was one of your dreams to go to the states and now you are, and earlier than expected too. of course you're going to get ahead of yourself and pack as soon as possible. now you just need to buy the school supplies required.

"so, kai, how's your family taking the news?" sana asks, pouring some iced tea into the new glasses you brought as a house warming gift.

you feel tzuyu grip on your hand tighten a bit, so you pass your thumb gently over hers, hoping to calm her mind of whatever is bothering her.

"dad's very happy, the twins are happy, but they're also sad i'm leaving. sakura keeps trying to fit herself into one of my boxes," you admit, laughing a little. momo and mina also laugh, fondly.

sana smiles. "i remember when tzuyu first came here, she wouldn't leave her room or take off her mom's jacket. she was so excited to be in korea, but didn't realize until she got here, how much she would miss taiwan."

tzuyu blushes, looking down and feeling heat on both her cheeks. you looked over at the pretty girl—who you still couldn't believe was your girlfriend—and pressed a kiss on her cheek. it wasn't every day you saw tzuyu get extremely flustered or hear cute stories from before you knew her.

tzuyu whines, "kai, not in front of my roommates!"

momo groans out, "i totally get you, tzu! we were in the studio, teaching zumba, and mina just comes behind me and slaps my butt. everyone was laughing—it was so so so embarrassing."

mina laughs, recalling the memory that only happened two days ago.

sana looks around the table, loving the view of mina and momo beside each other, not arguing. instead they looked completely in love, happy. you and tzuyu held each other's hands from under the table, thinking that no one could see it and it would be easy to hide. dinner was set out in front of you. fried chicken with rice and pho soup from the takeout place down the street. the ice cubes in the tea made calming noises every now and then when there's a big movement at the table, like momo laughing to point where she hits her surroundings.

you are so engrossed in laughter, you can't help but throw your arm over tzuyu's shoulders to bring her in closer to you.

her own laughter abruptly stops when your hand accidentally hit her chest.

but was it a hit? no, more of a gentle tap. one that you didn't mean to initiate, and you would never use that much force on her.

however, tzuyu's face still contorts into one of pain, where she groans out and rubs at the pain.

"i'm sorry, tzu," you apologize, holding her hand again. "i didn't mean to hit you, not at all—"

tzuyu is about to forgive you when sana interrupts.

"did that really hurt, tzuyu? i saw what happened and that was a really gentle tap by accident," sana confirms the suspicions of your actions.

the youngest girl blushes deeply in embarrassment. "n-no i'm fine, i'm just sore there, you-you know."

sana looks at her skeptically while momo and mina just continue to mind their own business, occasionally cracking jokes. you can't help but feel like you are intruding in on their family time.

"you've been all sick and sore for a while now, maybe we should take you to a doctor," sana suggests as if she wants to pry something out of tzuyu.

tzuyu continues to look down, shrugging. "if that's what you want."

"i'm sorry you have to listen to this, kai, but when is the last time you got your period?"

this time you are the one to blush, looking back and forth from between sana and tzuyu.

tzuyu snaps her head up. "really? what kind of question is that to ask at dinner!?"

sana shakes her head, slowly. "answer it."

this has grabbed the attention of momo and mina.

tzuyu looks off in concentration like she's thinking hard to come up with an answer. "i-i don't remember, i'm sorry—"

"kai, i think it's time for you to go home."
