so tzuyu took matters into her own hands, inviting her boyfriend over during the night. she was actually worried you would reject her because another week had passed, meaning you were just a month away from leaving. you were very busy this upcoming month, so no wonder the girl was scared of your rejection. it was all you had been focusing on anyway.
you were kind of confused as to why tzuyu had invited you over. after the dinner, you had just assumed she was in trouble. though, unbelievable since tzuyu had always been a goody goody.
when she texted you, she was very vague in her reason for wanting you over. she claimed to need to talk to you, but she wouldn't give her reason as to why you haven't been able to see her and why she needs to talk to you.
you figured coming over was the best option at getting answers you need. plus, it would be nice to get a few memories in before you leave.
so here you are, laying on tzuyu's comfortable twin sized bed with her in you arms, her head nuzzled into your chest as a laptop rests on your lap, watching old criminal minds episodes.
the both of you were very warm and cozy, although sleepiness was present, neither of you could bring themselves to close their eyes.
"you know, my first celebrity crush was derek morgan's actor?" tzuyu said, laughing at herself though it seemed awkward.
you looked down at her in surprise. "really? most girls say zac efron or that dude from suite life of zack and cody."
tzuyu played with the material of your cotton shirt, shrugging a little. "i always liked strong, brave men. i mean no disrespect but playing basketball and singing wasn't the biggest wow to me as a child."
you were a little confused as to why she would be watching criminal minds as a child in the first place. "what about me? do i fit your childhood self's criteria?"
"not at all," she laughed. "you're much better."
looking at her with such a fond look as she looks back up at you with big eyes, you can't help but press a soft kiss to her tinted lips.
"so what did you want to talk to me about?" you ask her seeing as the show was paused. the time seemed great to ask now.
she looks hesitant, as if she's thinking, before shaking her head. "n-nothing. it was just an excuse to see you."
"aw, you're so cute," you say, pinching her cheeks. "i can't wait 'til i get back from america, and we get married."
tzuyu grinned, sitting up with her hand still on your chest. "you're coming back after you leave?" her eyes gleam.
"of course, tzu," you say in disbelief. you cup her cheek. "we can move in together, and i'll get a job to support us."
tzuyu hums, pushing the laptop off your lap and onto the cabinet top beside the bed. she snuggles back into you, placing your arm around her. "i will too! i can learn to cook some authentic japanese food so you can get a taste from home!"
she sounds so happy. "aw, you sound like my wife," you laugh.
tzuyu pouts. "am i not?"
"of course you are," you squeeze her waist, bringing her closer to your body. "you'll be a beautiful mom."
she stills for a few seconds, looking a little pale under the light before gulping and nodding hesitantly. "you want to have kids with me?"
you hum. her body fits so well against yours, you can't imagine being with anyone but her. "of course. in the future."
"maybe it'll be sooner than you expect."
"don't be silly, tzuyu," you laugh. "i can't have children right now. but just be ready for me when i come back, i'll be all set to start a family."
kissing her cheek you flip her so her back is against your front, placing your chin on her shoulder and kissing at her neck.
"with you and my beautiful two kids and a dog," you add.
you don't see tzuyu gulp, grabbing your hands and placing it on top of her stomach, rubbing it. she continues to bring your hand up and down her bare stomach under her shirt. you think of it as a form of comfort for the girl.
"i-i love you, kai," she whispers. you almost forgot you weren't supposed to be here, and they two of you could have possibly been too loud.
"i love you more, tzuyu," you say back. "wait—no i love you most! before you say anything back."
she laughs, but again you don't notice how nervous and forced it is. you are just too happy to notice the person you love is going through something that could involve you and a plan you wanted in the future.
you are too happy to notice the person you love has been very sick, too sick to be just a normal stomach ache.
you are too happy to notice the person you love is carrying your baby.
but what will you do when you find out?
