'I WONDER WHAT SHE MEANT BY GIRLFRIEND' kai thought to himself, resting his chin on his open palm

the only girl kai had dated was a total wack job, yet their relationship ended a long time ago, so there would be no way of tzuyu knowing about it. it was before she even came to the school.

"kai!"

speaking of the devil.

you faked a smile as you turned around to see your ex grin widely coming to sit down beside you—only she didn't sit beside you, she sat on your lap.

your eyes widened at the feeling of her weightless body sitting on your thighs.

"n-nayeon," you stuttered out, unsure of what to do.

no one, not even chaeyoung, had ever sat on your lap. it was a new feeling that you did not like since you were unable to move your lower body.

"that's my name, baby," she winks at you, wrapping her long arms around your neck, bringing your face closer to hers.

your face immediately reddens at the feeling of her warm breath fanning your lips. she smirks at the sight of you all flustered, loving the effect she still has on you.

"i see you still haven't been kissed, kai," she whispers so only you can hear. "you don't even need to see it, it's just the way you look right now, it's so obvious."

her plaid skirt had started to ride up as she scooted closer to your private area, itching to feel friction.

suddenly, as if knowing the intentions of the female, her two friends popped up.

"nayeon!" the both said, pulling the light girl off poor, vulnerable kai's lap.

you looked up at your saviors who had helped you from further embarrassment. "jihyo, jeongyeon!"

the two girls looked down at the boy, holding a struggling nayoen in their arms. jeongyeon scowled at you and you continued to smile at the short haired blonde politely. you knew she didn't like you, but that didn't stop you from being nice to her.

jihyo, however, smiled down at you. "sorry about nayeon—"

"let me go or i swear to god i will stick my foot up your a—"

jihyo proceeds to cover nayeon's mouth with her hand, shushing the girl in time to hear the lunch bell going off, waking up the substitute teacher that just waved you and your peers off to the cafeteria.

"well, see you later kai, unfortunately," jihyo said, referring to how nayeon always clinged to you even though you both ended your relationship 4 years ago.

"yeah, i bet, see you later—"

before you could finish what you were saying, jeongyeon interferes.

"maybe never."

...

unfortunately for tzuyu, dahyun wasn't in her first few classes, which meant they hadn't seen each other. thankfully, the bell for lunch had just gone off, signifying the two girls would see each other again. something tzuyu was looking forward to knowing her best friend had never attended a real school before and was ready to listen to how her day was so far.

rushing out of the classroom, tzuyu bumped into a hard surface, looking down immediately and waited for the scold.

the person she had bumped into was also leaving the class in a hurry before stopping suddenly as if he forgot something, which he did. he had forgotten his school bag, and he was on the verge of turning around when he felt something bump into his back. finally turning around, the boy looked down at the girl who was making herself as little as possible with a beat red face.

"tzu-tzuyu?" you grab her shoulders as a way for her to look up at you.

she does so slowly, meeting your eyes as you study her beautiful face making sure you weren't hurt, in the mean time she was surprised that it was you, and she blushing under your stare.

you couldn't help but outline every line of her face with your eyes, taking note of the small things like the way her nose was twitched or how long her eyelashes were.

she instantly pulled away from you, holding her back pack closer to her.

"um, i'm sorry, i wasn't looking where i was going," she went to move around you, but you stepped in her way, blocking her exit. "excuse me," she tried again on the other side just to have you repeat the same move.

you suddenly started to move in closer, making her move back, looking rather frightened.

there was no one else in the classroom, even the lazy substitute had left. just being alone with the girl made your heart beat loudly, probably letting her hear it. you wouldn't be surprised if it just jumped out of your chest.

she took one last step backwards, gasping when her back hit the chalkboard full of words about the schedule.

"k-kai, i'm hungry," she whined, pushing her hands forward and shutting her eyes tightly as to keep you away from her. but that didn't stop you from taking a closer step. "please let me go to lunch."

you take her outstretched hands and put them inside your much larger ones, loving the warmth and feel of her soft skin. she gasps again looking down at your entwined hands. you can't help but chuckle at her cute reaction, a deeper shade of red reaching her ears and her big brown eyes widening further.

"so adorable," you whisper to yourself, but loud enough for her to hear.

to be honest with yourself, you don't know why you haven't talked to her in the three years you've fan boy-ed of her. maybe you were nervous, or maybe you were truly unsure of your feelings. it didn't matter because you regretted it all.

this,

this is what you wanted. to hold her, to be with her, to touch her. she was finally her, yet—

"you have a girlfriend, go call her adorable," she scolded you, attempting to rip her hands out of yours, but you only squeezed tightly.

you smile down at her, releasing one of her hands to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her red ear, after that she whips her head around to avoid your gaze, but not before you can place you hand back in hers.

"tzuyu, look at me," you say to make her look at you. she slowly looks at you, unable to keep her gaze away from yours and ultimately captivated by your deep voice.

"yes?" she asks, curious as to what you have to say, but mostly because the faster she cooperated, she knew the quicker she would get to lunch.

you bring her closer to you, pulling her arms so they were on your chest, settling her open palm on your beating heart.

"i don't have a girlfriend."
