YOU SIGHED, HEAVILY.
chaeyoung sighed, heavily.
jeongyeon sighed, heavily.
jihyo sighed, heavily.
tzuyu, dahyun, and nayeon grinned up at the sign of the restaurant above them. the big lights of the fancy, yet cheap, Italian place illuminated the dark streets full of couples and romantic music.
valentines day had many successes in their eyes. their successes of the day:
getting the others to agree to the group date, keeping their dates happy with endless kisses and promises to hang out later, and having an employee agree to let dahyun's grandparent's acquaintance serve their table (his name is leo).
so far so good.
the others, couldn't say the same thing. their valentines day was full of failures. their failures of the day:
showing up to the restaurant, caving into the attention their partners gave them, and everything that involved going on the date.
"if we leave now, they won't notice we were even here," chaeyoung says in a hushed voice, getting ready to bolt.
you grab her forearm, taking jeongyeon's too before she can leave as well. "no, if i have to go, then you two do too."
"you don't have to go, kai," jeongyeon whines. she really didn't want to be there. "we can escape now—look! they aren't even paying attention."
the three of you turn to look at the other three girls, all staring up at the restaurant with a creepy, knowing look on their faces. jihyo shook her head, walking straight through the double doors.
"you guys are so annoying," she rolls her eyes.
the girls snap out of their trance, following jihyo and asking for their table (dahyun sending the worker a wink to let him know it's her, it was very unnecessary).
you, chaeyoung, and jeongyeon all sighed again for the hundredth time that day.
although they didn't want to go, they still made an effort to dress up accordingly. you were in a white, collard shirt tucked into some black slacks gifted to you by your father. chaeyoung decided it was time to show off her legs in a flow-y red dress, very risky of her to show off like that. jeongyeon chose a cute blue dress shirt and black skinny jeans, really showing off her amazing curves.
jihyo, she only came for the food, but god, did she pop off. her figure was accentuated in a slimming black dress. she even had the audacity—i repeat—the audacity—to cut her own bangs and show up dressing like a walking, talking, breathing greek goddess.
tzuyu, on the other hand, kept it low key in a jeans and your jacket she stole from your room. she thought you hadn't noticed when it went missing, but since you had many of the same jacket, you just decided to gift it to her. she lived in that jacket, and the view you got of her in it was worth giving it away.
dahyun also wore a red dress. she even made it her own with a crazy hair-do and tennis shoes, something that has become known as her style.
as everyone has already guessed, nayeon's outfit was stunning—almost as good as jihyo's. she pulled up in a uber with a flow-y white dress that appeared to have been very expensive. if jihyo was a goddess, then nayeon embodied the image of a queen.
they all sat in the booth beside the window, sitting beside their date. jihyo sat in the middle of jeongyeon and chaeyoung on the left side of the table.
"my name is leo, i'll be serving you this evening. what can i get you all to start?" their waiter asked, clicking his pen open and taking out a booklet for orders.
