~Chris's P.O.V.~

I didn't waste any time getting out of the house. The last thing I needed was for him to see me cry. I have only cried once since the day I left. I really didn't want to start now but I don't think there's any stopping it. I just have to get to the motel. In the midst of my trying not to cry I failed to notice that someone was cruising slowly next to me on a dirt bike. I heard the engine cut but I didn't stop walking. "Chris? Hey Chris." It was Scott. He's the last person I need to see me like this. He's always been protective of me like a brother. But none the less he grabbed my arm and turned me so I was facing him. "Chris, hey I was calling you. Wait, what's wrong?" He had a look of concern on his face. "Nothing." I said trying to pull away. He was a lot stronger than I thought. "Bullshit Christal. You look like you're about to cry." Damn. "Fine but not here." I said looking around. He nodded. "Here, hop on I know a place." He handed me a spare helmet and I jumped on the back of the bike. It was a fairly short ride. I looked around we were at the preserve. A place Stiles, Scott and I used to love coming to as kids. We walked in silence 'till we found this giant tree. We sat down and Scott turned to me expectantly. I sighed. "Okay it's Stiles. He said some stuff earlier about how my leaving was hard on y'all. He made it out like it was my fault and like I didn't have a hard time." I explained. "I'm sure he didn't mean it. You know Stiles, he doesn't always know how to word things." I nodded. He's right I probably just over reacted. My phone buzzed in my pocket.

Sammy

Meet us at Derek's ASAP we have a lead.

Shit. "Hey can I have a ride?" I asked Scott. He nodded. "Sure. Where to."

"Derek's." I said standing up. He looked confused but took me anyway. I ran past the Impala into the condo. "What's the lead?" I asked when I walked in. Dean looked at me. "She's upstairs." He looked past me. I turned to see Scott standing in the doorway. "What the hell Chris, we don't have time for boyfriends." I shook my head. "He's one of my best friends. And he was the only way I could get here. And what do you mean she's already here?" He looked down and over to Derek. "She showed up here looking for the book. It's probably best you talk to her though." Derek said. I looked back and forth between them then walked upstairs. I opened the door to one of the empty rooms and saw Sam sitting in a chair across from a girl about my age. She had blonde hair and pale skin with green eyes. "Chris, this is Able. maybe you can get more out of her." He said standing up. "I doubt it." Able said from where she was tied up. I laughed. "You see I'm not as nice as the two people before. If I want answers I get answers. If you cooperate then I can be nice but if not then I wont be." I said getting in close to her face.
