Kyle went to sit with his friends in the cafeteria. He took a spot next to Stan, at the end of the table. Kenny was on Stan's other side, while Token, Craig, and Clyde sat on the table's other side.

"So..." Kyle said. "What do you guys think of that new girl?"

Stan shrugged. "She's all right."

"She seems cool." Token replied.

"She's kinda cute..." Clyde said shyly.

"You like her, Clyde?" Kyle asked.

"No. She's just...kinda cute." Clyde replied.

"You think so?" Kyle asked, somewhat nervously.

Clyde just shrugged. "Yeah."

Kyle suddenly became more nervous.

Emily had gotten her food and was now standing in the middle of the cafeteria. This is so embarrassing. I'm just standing here like an idiot! Where do I sit?

She was getting increasingly embarrassed and scared.

What if I sit somewhere and they kick me out? I don't want to sit alone every day!

She looked at the far side of the cafeteria and spotted James talking with some of his classmates. She wanted to join him so she could be with someone who made her feel safe, but she didn't want to get in his way.

She was just about to give up and sit alone when she heard someone calling her name.

It was that Kyle kid.

"Emily!" He shouted. "You can sit at our table!"

"Really?" She asked. "This isn't a cruel joke?"

"No..." Kyle said, somewhat confused. Why would I lie to her?, he thought. I'm not a jerk.

"Dude, what are you doing?" Stan asked.

"Come on, guys. I feel bad for her. I think she might have been bullied back at her old school." Kyle said.

"I'm all right with it." Clyde said.

"We know YOU are." Stan replied. "What about the rest of you? I'm okay with it if you guys are."

"Sure." Token said.

"Fine by me." Craig replied.

"Kenny?" Stan asked.

"Sure, why not." Kenny said, muffled.

"All right, then."

Emily walked over and sat next to Kyle, on the end.

"So, you said you like video games?" Kyle asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Yeah. James and I are always on the XBox together. Until Danny and Ian kick us off." Emily answered.

"James is the brother that goes here too, right?" Kyle asked. Emily nodded.

"So, um..." Clyde began. "What's your...favorite video game?"

"Grand Theft Auto. Especially 5." Emily replied.

These guys are so nice... Emily thought. I hope it's not all an act.

"Any chance we could all come over and have a little video game party or something?" Clyde asked.

Did I hear him correctly? He actually wants to hang out with me?

"Sure!" Emily said, a bit more enthusiactically than usual. "Are you guys free after school today?"

"I am." Clyde said.

"Same here." Token replied.

"I've got nothing to do." said Stan.

"Great." Emily said. "I live in the red house next to a brownish one. They have a blonde kid that I think goes here."

"Oh, that house?" Kyle asked. "You live right next door to Butters!"

"Butters?" Emily asked.

"He's a friend of ours." Stan explained.

"You can invite him. Heck, invite all the guys if the class if they're interested." Emily said.

I can't believe this is going to happen.

I'm on top of the world right now.
