Clyde walked into the classroom, trying not to think about Emily.

Until he saw her, bruised and bleeding, thanks to Cartman.

"Hey! Stop!" he shouted.

"Shut up, Clyde!" Cartman shouted back as Emily cried.

Emily looked into Clyde's eyes, silently pleading for him to save her.

He didn't even hesitate.

He pulled Emily away from Cartman and delivered a hard punch to his head.

Cartman was soon in more tears than Emily was, and didn't have the strength to get off the ground.

"Hey, are you all right?" Clyde asked. "Want me to take you to the nurse?"

Emily nodded, still sobbing.

"Shh, it's okay." Clyde said as he wrapped his arms around her. She continued crying into his shoulder as he gently led her out of the classroom and into the nurse.

"I'll make sure the principal hears about this." he said to Cartman as they walked out.

Class had begun for the day, and Emily had gone to the doctor to make sure there wasn't any damage. Cartman had beaten her pretty bad.

"Hey, where's Emily?" Kyle asked, concerned.

"She had to go to the hospital." Clyde explained.

"Oh, no! What happened to her?" Kyle asked, even more worried.

"Cartman beat her up this morning. It was bad."

"Did you see him?"

"Yeah. Don't worry, I punched him out and took her to the nurse. I stayed until her mom came and she's at the doctor now."

"Really?" Kyle asked, relieved she was okay. "Thanks, man."

"I was going to visit her after school. Make sure she's okay. Wanna come with me?"

"Yeah."

Cartman walked into Principal Victoria's office, a place he was all too familiar with. Principal Victoria sat at her desk, with Mr. Mackey behind it as well.

"Eric, we heard from a classmate that you beat up a girl this morning." Principal Victoria said.

"Why would you do that?" Mr. Mackey asked.

"She didn't invite me to a party that all the other boys in the class got to go to."

"So you beat her up?!" Mr. Mackey asked. "It is never m'kay to hit a girl, m'kay?!"

"Well, what else was I supposed to do?"

"Eric, you can't just talk to her and ask her?" Principal Victoria asked.

"I tried! But she kept giving me the same bullcrap that she told the boys she invited to invite the other boys in the class and they didn't invite me."

"Well, did you have any proof she was lying?"

Cartman went silent. Was she telling the truth?

Emily sat on the couch, her left leg propped up on a pillow and crutches at the side of the couch. She was watching a rerun of Terrance and Phillip to try and take her mind off of the pain in her foot. She had a few band-aids scattered across her arms as well.

She heard the doorbell ring, and was about to get up to answer it.

"Stop, Em." her mother said. "The doctor said to stay off that foot. I'll get it."

"Okay."

Her mom opened the door to find two young boys. She vaguely recognized them from Emily's little video game party the previous week.

"Is Emily home?" Kyle asked.

"Yes, she's right there on the couch." her mom replied.

"Kyle! Clyde! Hey!" Emily said as the boys sat on either side of her.

"Clyde told me this morning, Em." Kyle said. "Are you okay?"

"I'll be on crutches for the next week or so, but I'm fine otherwise."

"Good." Clyde said.

"And Clyde, I can't thank you enough for what you did." Emily said. "At my old school, no one would have done anything."

"Well, I couldn't see you getting beaten up like that. That's not cool." Clyde said.

"And I forgot to thank you too, Clyde." Kyle said. "I would have done something if I had been there, but I'm really glad you did something."

Emily put her arms around the two boys and they watched Terrance and Phillip together.

Even with the pain in her leg, nothing made her happier than having her two best friends by her side.
