Sam's POV

"Who is this?" I asked smiling as I answered my phone.

"Oh great. So now you hate me and don't even know my number thanks babe, love you too." He giggled.

I laughed, "So how was rehearsal?"

"I'm actually still here. Our lead singer is having us stay the whole night as we put a song together." He said as voices in the background grew louder.

Suddenly, there was moaning and things like "Pass the weed." Or "ash harder."

I burst out laughing "Is that the band?" I asked

"Guys stop it!" He yelled laughing.

There was a thud in background and muddling on the phone.

"ow fuck." Ashton said giggling.

"What happened?" I asked confused.

"I just got sacked with a pillow in the back of the head."

I smiled "aw poor ashy do you want me to kiss it better?" I said in a pouty voice.

"I wouldn't mind..." He trailed off.

I laughed, he was so cute.

"Okay okay geez get your panties out of a bunch!" He yelled to someone.

"I have to go hun. They need me for recording so I'll text you later?" He asked.

"Sure thing skipper." I said back looking over to my door.

"bye beautiful." He said before hanging up.

I smiled and put my phone away in my pocket before laying back down on my bed.

I reached into my nightstand and pulled out the picture I kept of my mom.

"Hi mom...I wish you were here. You'd really love Ashton. He bought me your bracelet and he's so sweet and kind. I just wish you were here to meet him and think those things for yourself..." I said trailing off as I brought the picture to my chest and just laid there.

A knock came to the door and pulled me from my thoughts.

"Come in!" I said loud enough for whoever it was to hear.

James walked in and smiled, "Hey." He said.

"Hey." I smiled back as I sat up.

"so I hear you got a job." He smiled.

"Yeah...Why?"

"I'm just happy for you. When do you start?" He asked sitting next to me.

"Tomorrow morning." I said recalling what Jesy told me.

He nodded.

"You know...It's raining out now." He said looking at me smirking.

Oh yes.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I smiled.

He nodded and he went out to the living room as I put down the picture of mom then changed into some sweats and a shirt.

When we were kids, me and James had this thing where when it rained we change into our shit clothes and then went outside and ran around and had mud fights.

I quickly changed and ran outside with James.

"Where are you going?" Lauren called standing up.

"come on and find out." James called back as he shut the door behind us.

He ran immediately to one side of the yard and I ran to the other.
