*DING DONG!*

My doorbell sounded at 10:30 and sure enough I was still sleeping.

I let my eyes flutter open to see Britt's door was still closed. I then let my eyes wander to my alarm clock.

"Ugh." I groaned getting up and checking in the mirror.

I didn't look too bad...semi frizzy hair all in a ponytail,a black tank top, and some duck shorts.

I walked out yawning down the hall and then through the living room and finally to the door.

I opened the door to see Ashton.

"Well your knight in shining armor is here with your wallet." He smiled.

"Why are you up so early?" I asked.

"It's almost 11..." He paused to laugh, "don't sweat it I'd probably be asleep if I didn't have work and then a band rehearsal."

"I'm off for awhile I don't start again until next week." I said as he just started laughing.

"Why are you laughing?!" I asked with a smile.

"Nice ducky shorts." He giggled as I looked down.

"You're just jealous because you don't have them." I smiled back.

"So, I have band rehearsal in about 2 hours, but we can hang out until then if you like..." He asked.

"Sure, but don't let my roommate see you she's not allowed to know who you are yet." I said.

"Alright but a few things. One, you need to change or you can go in these I'm still digging the shorts. Two, you need to leave your wallet here because I'm not letting you pay and I'm not keeping it." He stated.

"Ugh fine." I groaned, "I'll be out in like less than 5 minutes." I said turning around.

"No hurry, I'll just be in my car." He yelled to me.

"Don't you mean death trap?" I yelled back as he shut the door.

I quickly ran back into my room, changed into a sea blue t-shirt, black knee length shorts,bracelets, and my black vans.

I then threw my hair into a neater ponytail, quickly brushed my teeth,grabbed my phone, and then ran out the door.

I hopped into Ashton's death trap he called a car and he just stared at me with a smile.

"What?" I asked putting on my seatbelt.

"No ducky shorts anymore I see." He smiled.

"Shut up!" I joked hitting him in the shoulder as he started to pull out of the driveway.

"So where we going?" I asked after a minute.

"Well, I figured we could just hang out in the town or go to the park or just do something fun." He smiled.

"Alright, sounds fun." I answered.

We pulled into the town square and parked in the local parks parking lot.

"Let's hit it." Ashton smiled taking the keys out of the ignition and then opening his door.

I quickly opened mine to follow and met him at the hill up ahead.

The hill overlooked an empty playground.

Ashton looked at me and as if he read my mind started sprinting to the abandoned playground.

"Come on slow poke!!" Ashton yelled from ahead laughing as he reached the playground.

"I'm literally 2 steps behind you, chill out kid." I laughed.
