Finally, it was the day of the concert.

My mind was reeling and my heart was hurting badly.

Why did he have to do this to me?!

I was fucking fine until he texted me and wanted to talk and then I start frikin questioning the whole existence of the universe and my life choices.

"Earth to Sam?"  Lauren said as she sat across the room from me in my living room on my sofa.

"hm?" I said pulling myself from my thoughts.

"Okay that's it, you've been nothing but quiet and absolutely out of sorts for like 4 days now. What the hell is going on?" She asked calmly yet concerned.

"I um.." I started, but was afraid to flat out say it, "Have you ever questioned a choice you made that you thought was best for you?"

She looked at me confused as she spoke softly, "I mean I'm sure we all do in our lives at one point even if we don't notice it, but I think you just need to believe that the choice you made was the best possible choice you could've made."

I nodded and looked at my phone as I saw a text from Ash.

Hey there babe, can't wait to see you in a few hours I'm nervous as hell but I promise you this drummer boy is going to burn the house down! love you <3

"oh my God." Lauren said looking at me as I turned my attention from my phone to her and raised my eyebrow.

She couldn't have figured it out that quick.

"Is this about Luke?" She asked.

Shit.

"no..." I said softly and looked down.

"Holy shit!!!! Why are you even considering it!?" She exclaimed getting up and sitting next to me.

"I just..I don't know. He messaged me and told me he turned his whole life around for me and that he just wants to talk and he misses me and still loves me." I rambled.

"The boy doesn't deserve you after what he did to you! Are you insane!? Look at Ashton, he is an amazing guy and someone who would do anything for you without you even asking. He would never hurt you and he is willing to give up everything for you...Luke wasn't willing to do that. And you gave him many many chances, he ruined it for himself then. Ashton doesn't deserve heartbreak okay? You know you made the right choice, don't let Luke take that away from you." She said firm in believing that she was right.

I mean she was in a way, but I wasn't willing to admit it.

"But that's what I loved, his sweet talk and his kind manner and just him.." I said thinking of Luke and putting Ashton aside for the moment.

"Girl wake up! you have the most amazing boyfriend ever! He's sweet,kind,loving,caring,whole hearted,passionate,and crazy about you." She said with a small smile.

"You're right..." I said giving up but then regaining hope with a sudden jolt.

"you're right. he doesn't deserve me if he will only mistreat me then screw him, Ashton is perfect for me and I couldn't ask for anything more." I said confidently.

"That's the spirit. Now let's get you dolled up for your boyfriend's big night." Lauren smiled as she stood up.

"Oh gosh you didn't." I said knowing where this was headed.

"I did!" She squealed as she pulled from her purse a bag that held a cute dress that was very bright.

"Dude it's a concert not a tea party with your dolls." I said blandly.
