Chapter 34

The next day I couldn't stop thinking about what I did.

I still hadn't talked to James, well I mean I tried but he hasn't been home.

Plus, I had a date with Luke tonight...as friends of course.

My phone went off and I nearly knocked over my glass of water from anxiety as I reached for it and saw it was Ashton.

My hands shook as I answered, "h-hello?"

"Hey beautiful, you don't happen to have plans today do you?" He said with an obvious smile on his face.

Granted I couldn't see him, but I could always tell when Ashton was smiling.

"um..No not until later why?" I asked trying to make my voice not stutter and be too obvious.

"Well, go open your door." he said hanging up.

I gave a puzzled look to my phone as I take the last bite of my eggs and fix my duck shorts before going to the door.

I opened it to see Ashton with a bouquet of red roses and white Lilly's which were my favorites.

"What's the occasion?" I laughed leaning on the door frame.

"Happy anniversary beautiful." He smiled kissing my head and handing me the flowers.

"How did you know these were my favorite?" I asked curious.

"Luke told me they were." He smiled completely oblivious.

"Oh, I didn't think he remembered that...." I said looking at them and felt the memory come into place.

We sat on the dock at my uncle's house looking over the water as I leaned on Luke's shoulder.

"It's beautiful..." I smiled as I stared out over the moon that gently and ever so slightly kissed the top of the water and reflected the white and silver color onto the dark water.

"I know, but it doesn't compare to your beauty." He smiled cheesily.

"Wow that couldn't have been anymore cheesy if you tried." I smiled and laughed softly.

Luke wrapped his arm around me and pulled me in close to him and he kissed me gently.

I pulled away "if you had to write something right now what would it say?" I asked curiously and randomly.

"um, well I don't know I don't have a subject." He said looking at me.

"the moon and water." I said looking out at it again.

"Okay..." he paused, "Gently the lover kisses her other as if he'll break in one touch. He yearns for her in his mysterious matters and dark colors that have a strange appeal to the eyes. Never before have you seen lovers of this matter. Gentle,passionate,yet never actually touching. Yearning, longing, and calling for the other without actually having  the power to do so. Never before have I seen my other and never before have I wanted her so badly. She is the moon. Bright,shining,beyond my reach, and beautiful in every sense of herself. I am the water. Dark,mysterious, never able to reach the moon, but longing for her every day. Never before had I seen lovers like the moon and the water until the day I met you."

I smiled and kissed him, "oh my God that was amazing!"

He smiled "why thank you, I mean you are my inspiration."

I laughed sarcastically, "yeah right."

"You are. Come here.." He said standing up and offering his hand.
