Ashton's POV

"Dear God what am I doing?!" I said to myself as I sat in a chair backstage in agony with my head in my hands.

I'm going to lose her.

I'm an idiot.

She lied to me.

Why?

Does she love him?

Was dating me just a sad pick up from him?

Can I forgive him?

Can I forgive her?

Should I dump her?

No.

I love her...

I look up and see James walking out of the back hallway that leads to the dressing rooms.

I stand up immediately, "where is she?" I blurt out.

He walks up to me and just looks at me, "I'm not going to tell you right now but she's okay, just a bit shaken up."

I start to pace and run my hands through my hair pulling it slightly "I'm such a fucking idiot."

"You know what sit down for a moment." He said seriously as I walked over and sat down in the chair once again.

"I'm not going to lie, yes you were a complete idiot!"

"Hey you know I had the right to be upset!" I came back at him.

"bullshit! listen...you had no right to get upset with her for trying to be friends with him. You can't be mad at her or him for going out because it was before they knew you or at least before she knew you."

"then why was it a big secret and why didn't they tell me?!" I said upset looking him getting a little irritated with him.

"Doesn't it mean something to you that for you she went continuously even though her ex was there but she went for you and she didn't want to hurt your feelings with them being friends again. She was doing this to protect you and now you've hurt him and Her...and if you lose her over it I'm it going to lie then you'd understand a little bit more."

"What do you mean I'd understand?" I asked.

"Look at your bandmate and friend you just beat up. He lost her for being a dick and hurting her and he lost her for that. She left him. Then she found you. You won her over, she loves you, she is still yours and now you're going to blow that over some stupid friendship with her ex?"

"You don't understand." I said looking down.

"Listen here drummer boy. I've had a crush on her since we were children you're the one who doesn't understand. She is amazing, she is beautiful, she is intelligent, she is loyal, she is someone you don't want to let go. You take for granted how lucky you are to have her! If you fuck this up and lose her you will regret it for the rest of your life ask Luke. Hell even ask me, I have had a crush on her forever but she ends up with people who take her for granted when they should treasure every single moment with her." He said looking at me.

He was right.

I couldn't let her go.

What the hell was I thinking?!

I need to find her.

I need to tell her.

"James where is she?" I asked him.

"Just let me go get her." he tries to say.

"No I need to do this. where is she?" I said again as more of a demand than a question.
