Chapter 10

Summer's POV

After a long day of nothing but old times and jokes, we went back to my house.

"Brittany you home?" I called as we walked into the lighted house.

"In here!" She yelled back.

Me,James, and Lauren all walked back into the living room and saw Brittany sitting on the couch.

"Hey guys." she smiled.

We all waved and sat on the couch or chair across from Britt.

"So where did you go today miss up at 10:30?" She smirked looking up from her magazine.

"With my date that's who." I snarked.

"What did you do all day? you were basically dead when I got up." I asked.

"Well I went out to Maria's and ran into this guy...his name is Xander"    She blushed.

"Tell us the dets!" Lauren giggled excitedly.

"Um.." she paused "Well, he has black hair, blue eyes, he's tan but not super tan, he's super sweet. He's 19 and super dreamy. I met him when I went to Maria's as I said and I accidentally dropped my stuff when he ran into me and he helped me and then I got his number and he's coming over later." She smiled big still blushing.

"Whoa woah woah.....excuse me?" I asked stunned.

"What?" She defended.

"You just met this guy and you invited him over?! He could be crazy, he could be a creep, he could be anything!" I shot back.

"that didn't stop you." she hissed back.

That was harsh.

No way in hell was that called for.

It was overwhelmingly silent.

Thank God my phone started to go off with a call.

I got up and walked into my room as I answered the phone.

"Hello?" I asked sniffling.

"Are you okay?" Ashton's voice said.

"Yeah me and my roommate just got into a bit of a fight. I'm fine." I reassured him.

"Okay...so I'm done with band rehearsal but I thought I'd call." He said.

"Alright well, can I ask what your band is called or what kind of music you play out who's in it?" I asked laying on my bed.

"Well I will tell you we play punk music and I pay drums, but you can find out the rest later." he giggled.

"You play punk?" I mocked. "you're too sweet to play punk music."

He laughed. "you'd think so."

"I know so." I replied smiling.

"Well anyways, how was your day?" He asked.

"good. in fact I got together with James and Lauren." I replied.

It was silent.

"Ashton?" I asked.

"Yeah um...what's with you and James? He seemed to really like you..." he said awkwardly.

"We've grown up together so it's not anything serious. He may have had a crush on me, but I think it was a joke from his sister. So, we're just really good friends." I said.

"Alright." He responded a little too quickly.

"Okay." I laughed at his response.

"So how was rehearsal?" I asked curiously
