Ariana
Soon enough, I heard loud clatter and banging from downstairs. I jumped every so often when a particular noise was louder than the rest. By watching a lot of action movies and keeping in mind Jason is in a gang, I knew they were gunshots. They were slowly getting closer and closer to the room I was in.

Luckily, my dogs were sound asleep. They've always been like this. When I'm around, they're calm. But, if I were in another room, they'd be going ballistic.

My heart race began picking up as footsteps, that sounded like they were running got closer and closer. I heard the jiggle of the bedroom door, making me cower to the very back of the closest and cover my face with my hands. The door swung open suddenly, before a loud thud, meaning it was shut.

"Ariana? Where are you? It's me, Trent, Jason sent me up to get you out of here," I heard. My breathing hitched. Is it really him?

"Ariana, I promise you, I'm not here to hurt you," He added.

With shaky knees and hands, I got onto my feet and reached for the door, slowly opening it up. I gasped as I was met with Trent very close in my proximity.

"Okay, Jason told me that I need to get you out of here. We're going to go down to a car and I'll take you away," He spoke quickly.

"How do I know you're not lying?" I asked, taking a step back.

"Press the buttons, it allows Jason to speak to you."

I reached for the red button Jason told me about. My pointer finger didn't hesitate to push it. An odd, static sound was emitted into my room before, luckily, Jason's voice began talking.

"A-Ariana, listen to Trent. I know I said I'd get you but I need to stay. Just go with him. Good girl for questioning his motives, I'm proud of you."

"I need you to get dressed in all black. They're about to cut the power. It'll be easier to get out," He informed, reaching into my closet.

"What about my dogs?" I asked, looking at my sleeping babies.

"Ariana, I was told to get you out of here. Jason said nothing about them. I'm sorry, but I'm going to do my job and you away from this mess. I'm sure Jason has a plan in mind."

My heart instantly dropped, my throat instantly closed up. A cry was bound to happen. They are like my children! I was completely and utterly in awe of them. They always cuddled me when I was sad, heck, they cuddled me even when I was happy!

"I can't leave them!"

"Okay, I don't mean to be a dick. But if we stay here with them, we could both die with them. Look, I'll lock them in there so their as safe as possible but that's as much as I can do,"

"We have to take them!" I cried, tears spilling from my eyes.

"Ariana, get dressed," He said sternly. His top lip quivered a bit, as if he was about to blow up and lose his patience.

I took a deep, uneven breath in and did as he said. I suppose being in black will make it harder to see in the dark. We won't be in complete dark because of windows, but I have noticed that there are very few of them.

"Goodbye my honeys, Mummy loves you so so so much. I'll come back and get you soon," I said, rubbing their heads and giving them each two kisses.
