With the slamming of a door, I jolted awake. What's with me and waking up at the worst of times? I looked around and see Trent and I were at a gas station.

The sun was just going down, so we'd obviously been driving for the last few hours. While he was filling up the car, his phone rang on his seat. I looked at it and seen that the caller ID read 'Jason'. I did not hesitate to answer it.

"Hello," I spoke.

"Ariana? Where's Trent?"

"Just filling up the car."

"Okay. When he comes back can you tell him that we've almost caught up to where you guys are so just wait around there for us."

"Okay."

"I'll see you soon darling, bye."

"Goodbye."

I did as he said and told Trent that they were almost here once he come back from paying. He moved the car so we were blocking any fill-up spaces.

"I got some skittles for you," He said, handing me a bag while he stuffed his face with chips.

I thanked him before tearing open the packet. I only ate the red and yellow ones; they are my favourite. I gave the rest to Trent, which he accepted without hesitation. Unlike me, he ate like a pig and pored whatever was rest straight into his mouth.

Just as he finished chewing and swallowing, a red car pulled up behind us along with about four other sprinter vans.

"Is that them?" I asked Trent. He looked in the rear view mirror.

"Yep," He said, popping the 'p'. He got out of the car and came around my side, opening it for me. He held his arm out for me to take as we walked to the other cars.

"You know, you remind me a lot of my little sister," He stated.

"How so?"

"She was very... elegant, smart and strong. Even though she was innocent and always made the right choices, she had a bloody mouth on her. I don't know, you kind of look like her too. She had big brown eyes and the same coloured hair as you."

Before anything else could be said, we reached Jason who had stepped out of his car and leant against the door. He looked at me with bright eyes, engulfing me in a hug as soon as I was close enough.

Although I didn't particularly like Jason, I didn't want to anger him by pushing him off. I accepted the hug and let my hands rest on his stomach so I didn't have to hug back.

"Alright everyone, let's go. We'll continue to the next city and stay there the night," He ordered everyone, once letting go of me.

I went to walk back to the Jeep with Trent, but Jason grabbed my hand and span me around.

"My car darling."

I sighed and walked around to the passenger side, sliding onto the immaculately clean leather seats. I adjusted the chair so I was laid back a little. Jason soon hopped in and started the car, taking off with everyone else trailing behind.
