Shopping around with Signe had been more fun than he had expected. They discovered some new things and made the most of their time together. Upon making their way back to the tour bus, Signe stopped in the parking lot to face him. He came to a stop, looking directly into her big sorrowful eyes as she told him in a fragile voice. "I'm sorry about earlier. I shouldn't have gotten mad at you. I know this whole thing hasn't been easy on us." Sean gave her a small understanding smile. He just wanted to put the whole thing behind them. He hoped that having dinner with Mark would finally sort out his feelings. Feelings that he couldn't explain and struggled with. He had always admired Mark. He looked up to Mark. He loved him. However, as their friendship grew closer... something changed. He hadn't realized how much he relied on the Septiplier ship to express his feelings... until it was gone. It left him struggling with feelings that he didn't know how to deal with and blurred the lines that kept him from seeing who he was suppose to be around Mark.
Was he truly in love with Mark, or just loved him as a friend? The feelings felt so similar to each other that it just left him frustrated and confused. Then there was Signe. A girl that he should be thankful for. That he was happy to spend his time with... but why was he longing for something more? His mind started to drift to his dream with Darkiplier and he bit his cheek. Was Signe just too innocent for him? Was the piece he was missing something more... dominate? How could he even get up the courage to say that to her? There was just no way without possibly creeping her out, or hurting her feelings in the process. Signe touched his face, jerking him from his thoughts. She raised a worried eyebrow, asking him in a gentle voice. "You're so distracted lately... Are you sure you are feeling ok?" Sean gave her a brighter smile, answering much more focused. "I'm fine, really. I think the tour has just wiped me out. I can't wait to go back home and crawl into my bed." Signe's smile turned devilish, wrapping her arms around his neck as she replied. "Don't you mean 'OUR' bed?"
Sean started to lean in to kiss her, when she yelped and fell back onto the pavement. Sean winced, feeling bad that he hadn't reacted fast enough to catch her. She moaned in pain, rubbing her ass and looking at her feet in complete perplexity. The lacy straps on both of her flat heel shoes had broken apart. Signe picked up what remained of them, grimly whining out. "Damn... I liked these. How did that happen?" Sean shrugged, reaching out to help her up. While Signe collected herself and picked up her things, Sean let out a tiny chuckle that made her swat his side playfully. That's when he noticed it. A kitchen knife laying on the pavement with a thin line of dark blood on the tip. Sean bent to pick it up and it vanished in a puff of black smoke. Curling his fingers back, he swallowed anxiously. Was he awake or asleep? Was he so tired that he was hallucinating things now? Signe gasped suddenly, tugging on his jacket as she told him. "Oh my god! The straps cut me!"
Sean kneeled the rest of the way down to examine her bare feet. Sure enough, a small cut had been nicked across the side of both her feet. They were light cuts, nothing too serious... but he was starting to get concerned. Was it possible that it had something to do with Mark insisting that he go to dinner with him? Sean tried to throw that idea from his head. Darkiplier was fake. Made up. This was all just an uncanny coincidence. Signe turned to head for the tour bus and Sean gasped as a black smoky figure appeared next to her. The figure stuck out a long black cane that caught Signe's foot, making her stumble to the pavement. Sean stood frozen to the spot. This couldn't be real. It had to be in his head. A trick of the street lights. Locking eyes with Darkiplier's fearless black eyes, Sean inched closer to reach out and see if he could touch him. Just before his fingers reached Darkiplier, Dark flashed him the smallest smile, adjusted his black jacket and vanished.
Signe groaned with defeat, grumbling out. "And now I have skinned my knee. Perfect. Well, this must be a sign that my luck has turned bad." Sean forced himself to look down at Signe, who reached out for his hand. Had she not seen Darkiplier just now? He wasn't sure that he had even really seen him. Pulling her to her feet, he helped her make her way back to the tour bus. Signe sighed heavily, telling him still so confused. "I don't get it. I know I'm clumsy... but I've never been THIS clumsy. What did I do? Did I cross a black cat and not notice today?" Sean chuckled, her light mood was bringing him out of his uneasy mental state. At the tour bus doors, he froze. He could hear that strange whisper again, like someone was standing just behind him... but the parking lot was empty. The doors to the bus hissed and by the time he looked back, the glass and lights burst. Inside, Arin and Danny screamed at the top of their lungs, while Sean grabbed Signe to protect her from the shower of glass that fell over them.
