Sean's heartbeat sped up, but he kept his breathing steady. Dark moved his hands away from his lower back, bracing them on the bed. Sean turned his head to look up, despite not being able to see. Dark's position had changed. He was moving over him on all fours. Sean stayed still not making any sudden movements. Dark's cold cheek brushed against his warmer one. Instead of recoiling, Sean pressed his cheek closer to Dark's. Dark kissed his ear briefly, before asking him suspiciously. "Alright... You've gotten my attention. What's going on?" Sean chuckled softly, whispering close to his ear smugly. "I thought you were used to getting what you wanted?" Dark brushed his lips along his jawbone, whispering a bit muffled to him. "I'm used to working much harder to get it... Which is why I don't trust this. What are you thinking?" Sean smirked, purring out to him. "You can't tell? I thought you knew me better, than I know myself?"
Dark lightly brushed his lips over Sean's parted ones, breathlessly answering. "What are you trying to do, Sean?" Sean tilted his head back to expose his throat to Dark, telling him wickedly. "What do you think I'm trying to do?" Dark's lips found his neck, kissing the vein tenderly. Sean inhaled deeply, feeling Dark's teeth graze his neck so lightly that it tickled. Then Dark mumbled against his throat. "I think you're trying to get me to do something... It's not going to work." Sean slowly lifted his hands off the mattress to touch Dark's sides. It surprised him that the moment his hands touched Dark's sides, Dark inhaled sharply as he flinched away a little. Sean removed his hands, then slowly put his hands back. Dark's body relaxed and Sean asked him softly. "You seem tense... Am I putting you on edge?" Dark lifted his head from Sean's neck, answering in deep confident voice. "You are not what I expected."
Sean smirked a little, asking him in a low voice. "Disappointed?" Dark's hips pressed into his, causing Sean to open his mouth in a silent moan. Dark then pressed his soft lips against his in the sweetest kiss. The kiss didn't last long. It teased him. Had him craving for more. Over his lips, Dark whispered in a deep purring voice. "No... You fascinate me." Sean licked his lips, his tongue flicking over Dark's unintentionally. Sean huffed to himself with a smile, asking him breathlessly. "What makes me so fascinating to you?" Dark was silent a moment, rising off him slowly, before answering seriously. "You're like a rose." That confused Sean. He didn't see the comparison. Sean was about to ask, when something so soft touched the spot under his ear. It felt as soft as silk, but as thick as skin. The thing followed his jawbone to his chin and down the front of his throat.
That's when he put it together. The strong floral smell. Dark was caressing his skin with a rose. The rose stopped at his collarbone, while Dark told him in a deep loving voice. "You have the beauty and innocence of a red rose in winter. Yet, in those icy blue eyes... I see your thorns. The pain and anger that you think no one can see. You draw people in and try to keep them at a distance at the same time. You want to be loved... but fear the pain you cause those that love you. You fear the hand that embraces pain. For a hand that handles such pain, can't be a gentle one, right?" Sean bit his lip in a warm blush. He found Dark's words to be oddly poetic. Deep and Romantic in a dark haunting way. Dark lifted the rose to tap Sean's nose with it, saying with a warm chuckle. "Tell me if I am wrong." Sean let out a light sigh, uttering out honestly. "You have a way with words, Dark."
The rose brushed down his cheek as Dark told him in a deep buttery voice. "I've always been good with words. It's a gift and a curse. I'm no stranger to pain in all its many forms. Just as you fear anyone getting too close. I fear the strength with which I hold something of such fragile beauty." Sean let that sink in for a second, then stated out calmly. "You fear breaking me?" The rose drifted down Sean's neck and down his chest, while Dark told him in a grim voice. "Yes... In a way. Things I desire only stay beautiful for so long. For once I completely possess it... The light in it darkens." Sean moved his hands off Dark's sides, asking him a little uneasy. "I'm not sure I understand." Dark sighed, replying casually. "It's hard to explain to a creature like you... I'm incapable of holding onto a source of light without ruining it. The rose I tried to give you for instance... The beauty of its red petals faded to black, because I'm a being of such darkness. I can only love its beauty for so long, before it turns and becomes something else entirely. I desire light, but can never have it."
