Sean waited as Damien climbed the stone steps. He thought that Damien would have to unlock it. Instead, Damien just opened it. Sean guessed that he had no reason to fear a break in. Damien smiled at him, asking curiously. "What?" Sean just shook his head with a smile. Damien started to reach a hand out to touch Sean's cheek, but his hand never reached him. From inside the house came a the sound of soft rapid tapping on tile, before something big and fluffy slammed into Damien. Sean jumped in fright, pressing his back to the wall as Damien was knocked clear of the stairs to the walkway. Damien chuckled loudly, grumbling out stiffly. "Yes. Yes. I'm home. Come on. Get off me." Sean relaxed watching Chicanery's long grey tail wag wildly behind her. She had regained her full size and was licking Damien like she hadn't seen him in years. Damien grabbed her front legs to move her off him, allowing him to sit up. Chicanery practically danced around him as he slowly climbed to his feet, telling her coolly. "I've only been gone a few hours. You needy thing."
Sean watched Damien pull Chicanery's muzzle close to kiss her big black nose. The gesture made Sean's heart swell. Seeing Damien's love for Chicanery... There were no words for it. Damien was such a powerful person. Frightening when he wanted to be. Yet, something about this side of him was just as powerful. A side that he doubted anyone else had ever seen. Damien walked by up the steps, blushing as he mumbled out him. "Sorry about that. She doesn't like being left alone. She's... Well, I rescued her from a bad place." Sean slowly reached out to see if he could touch her. Chicanery stood snuggled up to Damien's leg. She didn't seem aggressive, but he was weary. Chicanery turned her head as his hand approached and he hesitated. He liked her better as a cute puppy. Seeing her solid white eyes was frightening with her increased size. Damien took his hand before he recoiled, bring his hand to her nose. She sniffed his palm with deep warm breaths, then licked him with her wet tongue.
Damien placed Sean's hand on Chicanery's silky soft head, trailing his hand up Sean's arm. Sean stood very still, but pet Chicanery lightly. Damien's hand moved up along Sean's shoulder to cup his neck. Pulling Sean into a gentle loving kiss. Sean's heart skipped in his chest at how gentle Damien was being with him. He almost felt invincible himself. Having the heart of someone like Damien was a major temptation. Damien would do anything for him, and that feeling was the best kind of high. Their kiss was soon interrupted by a feminine voice asking them softly. "Damien... Haven't we been through this before?" Damien pulled away, his eyes never leaving Sean's as he answered casually. "This time is different, Celine." Sean turned to see a slender woman with short black hair leaning against the doorframe with her arms folded. Her dark eyes were fixed on him and her black painted nails drummed her pale arm. She smiled wickedly at him. Her face flashing for a brief second to a demonic looking grin with large shark like teeth and solid burning white eyes.
Sean's heart nearly stopped, when she jeered out coldly. "Remember me?" Damien dropped his hand from Sean's neck to his shoulder to comfort him. Sean's throat was dry when he asked confused. "You... You're alive?" Celine's eyes drifted to Damien, her voice staying cool as she told him. "He's different. What did you do to him?" Damien huffed, telling her honestly. "More like... What I didn't do." Sean shuffled his feet uncomfortably, expressing to her nervously. "I'm so sorry about... Killing you in the past..." Celine rolled her eyes, dryly stating back. "It very rarely happens. Keep that in mind the next time you try it. I adapt to my enemies." Sean swallowed anxiously. Her eyes were still so cold and unfeeling. Standing even this close to her seemed to be unwise. Damien told her warmly with a smile. "Celine. Be nice. Please? You promised." Celine sighed heavily, then straightened off the frame to approach him. Sean tried to slip behind Damien, but his grip tightened on his shoulder to keep him still.
Celine extended a hand to him, saying in a dead voice. "Let's start over, shall we?" Sean's hand shook when he raised his hand to shake hers. Her hand felt so soft and warm. Her hand was so dainty compared to his. He was afraid of hurting her... until her grip tightened, and he felt his knuckles pop. She was MUCH stronger than she looked. At the sound of his knuckles popping, Damien's voice turned dark as he growled out. "Celine!" Celine released Sean's hand, taking a step back to look into Damien's eyes. For a moment they stared at each with stony expressions. Sean rubbed his hand, glancing between them in awkward silence. He didn't know who would break first. Yet, looking at them... he could tell they were twins in how stubborn they were. He didn't think it would ever end, until someone called out in a sweet drawl of a voice. "Celine, my dear... You're doing it again." Celine finally blinked, turning to face the man in the doorway. The man wore a silky pink shirt with tan khakis.
