From the other side of the door, Signe asked him curiously. "Sean? Why is the door locked?" Sean gruffly cleared his throat and shrugged. He didn't know what to say. He was a terrible liar and he couldn't answer this shite under pressure. Clenching his jaw, he snatched the sheet off the floor to wrap around himself. He needed to hide his hard on. Practically limping his way to the door, he unlocked it. Signe slipped inside with her own blanket hanging off her slender shoulders. Sean pressed his back to the wall, waiting for her to say something. Signe looked him over, then made her way to her dresser to get herself dressed. While she dressed, Sean remained where he was. He was afraid to move with his hard on reacting to every light touch. Even the sheet occasionally made his eyes roll when it touched him. Signe stepped into her closet to grab something, telling him gently. "Sean... Are we going to talk about what happened last night?" He shrugged again, but because she didn't see it, he resorted to replying nervously. "I... I don't think there is anything to say."
Signe stepped back out of her closet to look at him with hurt eyes as she muttered out dissatisfied. "You have nothing to say about it? You call a man's name... and that's normal to you?" Sean cleared his throat, answering anxiously. "No... I just meant that... I've been under a lot of pressure lately and things... I got a lot on my mind." Signe finished slipping in her last earring, crossing her arms under her chest as she told him seriously. "Then take a break. We can go somewhere. Just the two of us." Sean shook his head stubbornly when he said just as seriously. "I can't. I just got back from tour. I've been away from youtube too long as it is. I owe the people that couldn't come out to see me." Signe drummed her fingers on his crossed arms, her expression turning into a pout as she snapped back. "You don't owe them anything. You have a life outside youtube, you know? You owe ME as your girlfriend. When was the last time we just went out without one of your youtube friends hanging around? You're always working..."
Sean kept his eyes on the carpet, telling her a bit sternly. "Signe, it's my job. I'm one of the few people on this planet that actually enjoys their job. But it's demanding of my time like any other. I can't just take a break... Youtube doesn't work like that. If I'm away too long, then I lose everything I worked so hard to build. I need youtube. Without it, I can't afford this house or my equipment for recording. It's a fragile balance and I'm figuring everything out on my own as I go..." Signe uncrossed her arms, her heels thudding over the carpet as she strolled up to him. Her hand reached out to lift his chin, until their eyes met. Then in a slightly icy tone, she told him. "I love you, Sean. But I need attention too. You can't just keep pushing me aside for youtube. I need to take some priority too." Sean kept his eyes on hers, asking in a soft voice. "What do you want me to do? I'm trying..." Signe dropped her hand from his chin, her face turning into a slight scowl, when she told him. "Like I said. I want some priority. No more running off to play games with your youtuber boyfriends late at night. No more long hours in your office. You hired Robin to help you cut down hours and your working MORE hours. Well, I want that to stop. You need to spend some time with me, or you're going to lose me."
Sean didn't know what to say. She wasn't wrong, but he didn't want to change. He liked what he was doing, and he did spend time with her... Whenever he could. Averting his eyes away from her, he started recalling Dark's words. He had been thinking about breaking up with Signe before... but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He didn't want to hurt her. Yet... despite his best efforts... He was drifting from her. Everything he did only made her tighten her grip on him. He swallowed down the words that threatened to come out, when Signe's hand turned his jaw. She locked eyes with him again, asking in a softer voice. "Sean... I need you to do this for me. Youtube is sending you to an early grave and you're letting it. The fans have even gotten to you so much, that you're calling out the name of Mark's fantasy character in bed with us... Don't you think enough is enough? We need this break." Sean felt a grim numbness fill him voice as he breathlessly whispered out. "You're right... I think we need this break."
