Catrina's POV.

Christmas had just passed, I stayed at Hogwarts for the break, I found it un-useful to leave. I wasn't allowed to go back to the Hunters until summer holiday, and I wasn't allowed to go to Camp because I made a deal with Chiron a few months ago that I wouldn't return until Percy was there.

Anyways, right now I have to go to Lupin's office. He was going to teach me more magic, he is starting with a lesson with Harry today so he realized he should teach me what ever he was going to teach Harry. I was now actually outside of the classroom. I knocked on the door, the door opened. Lupin stood there and smiled.

"Come in, we were waiting for you." Lupin said, I walked in. I saw Harry and smiled, he smiled back.

"You're sure about this, Harry? This is very advanced magic. Well beyond Ordinary Wizarding Level. " Lupin said.

"If Black can fight the Dementors, I need to know how too. But why'd you only ask me and not Catrina?" Harry asked.

"Because, Catrina is different as you've seen. She is willing to do anything, even if it means death, that is very clear. The scars on her face prove it, as well as the fact that she has fought the forces of evil for over a thousand years." Lupin said giving a stern look. Harry nodded finding what Lupin said reasonable.

"The spell I'm going to teach you is called the Patronus Charm. Ever hear of it? " Lupin asked, Harry shock his head.

"I think Godric used that a few times, I remember. He wouldn't use it on anything, but he'd use it when I was upset, his patronus always cheered me, the way it went across the room was just mesmerizing." I smiled at the memory.

*Flashback*

"Darling, I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth. I did it to protect you." Godric said to me. We were at our home in Godric's Hollow. I was in my room, my back against my door, as I cried. I had just found out that I was found at his doorstep only nine years prior.

"I didn't want the Wizarding World to look at you any different from the rest. You're still my daughter. And I will always love you, whether we are blood or not." He said, kneeled on the floor outside my door. I continued crying.

"Expecto Patronum." He said. Under the door, a light illuminated, and a Lion appeared, circling around my room. I stopped crying and watched it as it danced around the room. I smiled at it and started crying happy tears. I opened the door and hugged Godric.

"I still love you, Papa." I said. He hugged me back, not darling to let me go.

"Now, are you ready to go back downstairs to meet the others?" He asked. I wiped my tears as we pulled away from our hug. I nodded, he smiled at me and kissed my forehead, "Come on then. lets go."

*End of Flashback*

"A Patronus is a kind of positive force... For the wizard who can conjure one, the Patronus works something like a shield. The Dementor feeds on it, instead of him." Lupin said, that actually seemed pretty damn interesting.

"But in order for it to work, you must think of a memory. And not just any. This memory needs to be a very happy one. And powerful. " Lupin said, I smiled to myself.

For Harry it may be a little bit harder. I was going to be easier for me because I've got about a thousand years worth of good memories.

"Got something?" Lupin asked Harry, Harry nodded.

"Good. Let it fill you up. Lose yourself in it." Lupin said.

"Now Catrina do you remember the incantation Godric used?" Remus asked, I nodded. He smiled along with me.

"Expecto Patronum." I said.

"You have an amazing memory." Lupin said.

"My ADHD and Dyslexia only let me memorize things that have made me truly happy, which is why I know a lot about monsters, I quite enjoy fighting them." I said.

"Alright now, can you both say that spell. With out your wands." Lupin said.

"Expecto Patronum." Both me and Harry said.

"Excellent, now Harry first, Please come forward." Lupin said, I sat down and watched Harry.

...

"Harry you may go. I want to work with Catrina a little longer." Lupin said. I was sat on the floor. Frustrated that it wasn't working for me. Harry nodded and left the room.  "Hey, don't beat yourself up about it. Some people aren't able to perform the spell. Sometimes it's because they've gone through too many dark times."

"It's no use. I'm never going to be able to do it." I said. "I've gone through too many dark things. I left Godric when he needed me most. I lost countless friends through the years, some of which are my fault, I have too much in my life that is dark and will not make me able to perform the spell."

"Maybe you need to make amends with these things. If not with them, but with yourself." he said.

"I'm never going to be able to forgive myself for leaving Godric," I said.

"I didn't say you had to forgive yourself. Just make amends. Do something in honour of each of them. Maybe then you will find the will to perform the spell." He said. "Now, that's it for today. I'll see you back here in a few days."

...

"You alright, Catrina?" Harry asked as I sat down next to him in the Great Hall.

"I've been better." I said. "I'll be fine, once I give myself some time to figure things out."

"And you will figure them out." Harry said. "Just don't give up on it. You're a tough girl, and I know you can do it. I'll be here for you along the way."

I met his eyes. "Thank you, Harry." I said. "No one has said that to me in a long time."

"Anytime." He smiled.

*Weeks Later*

Today was the hearing with Hagrid on Buckbeak, it had ended and now me, Harry, Ron and Hermione were with him, talking to him, and trying to comfort him.

"So how was the hearing Hagrid?" Hermione asked.

"Well, first off, the committee members took turns... ...talking about why we were there. I got up and did my piece. Said how Buckbeak... ...was a good hippogriff, always cleaned his feathers. And then Lucius Malfoy got up. Well, you can imagine. He said Buckbeak was a deadly and dangerous creature... ...who would kill you as soon as he looked at you." Hagrid said.

"And then?" Harry asked, I furrowed my eyebrows.

"And then he asked for the worst, did old Lucius." Hagrid said.

"They're not sacking you!" Hermione said.

"No, I'm not sacked... Buckbeaks been sentenced to death. " Hagrid said.

I was no angry. Just because one stupid kid was immature and didn't listen to the Professor, and got hurt. Buckbeak was feeling threatened and attacked because of that, so it was not Buckbeaks fault, it was Draco Malfoy's fault. How can the Ministry not see this?
