[Your POV]

"McGonagall has gone absolutely crazy," I fumed to Lily as I stormed out of Transfiguration, clutching my books to my chest.

"A pop quiz tomorrow and then an exam the day after? She's gone mad. What, are we not allowed to live?" I breathed, exasperated.

"Oh, calm down, (Y/N), you're the brightest in our year and you know it.  You'll be fine," she teased, punching my arm.

I opened my mouth to protest, because that was certainly not true, when she nudged me.

"Boyfriend and twelve o'clock," she said in a singsong voice.

I lifed my head slightly and was excited to see Remus, my boyfriend.

I know, right? I couldn't believe it either.

"Hello, my love," he said cheerily as he kissed my forehead.

I blushed and give him one back.

"Hey Rem. I've missed you," I said as I slipped my fingers through his.

Lily smiled widely.

"You know, you guys are the cutest couple I've ever seen," she squealed.

We walked to the Gryffindor Tower, chatting all the way and cracking jokes about ways to cheat on McGonagall's exam.

"I've got to go, Sirius said he wanted to meet early with me to discuss the prank he didn't get the chance to pull on Halloween. I'll see you two later," he said as he gave a small smile and headed on his way.

It was a few days before Christmas and I could barely contain myself from spending all my money on gifts for my friends.

"I've gotta go too, I need to study for the Transfiguration test and I promised Molly we'd revise together. See you at dinner," Lily gave me the same smile as she walked out.

Not five minutes passed when I heard a knock at my door.

It was Peter, suprisingly.

"Oh, hey, Peter," I said, confused, he never hung around here.

"Oh, is this a bad time?" he questioned, "I can come back..."

"Oh, no, you just caught me off guard is all. Come in," I gestured him.

"So, um, how are you," he said, discomfort in his voice, as he sat on my bed.

"I'm fine, just a tad stressed," I said as I brushed the hair out of my face.

"Oh well, that's not bad. Hey, can I ask you something?" he said, quickly.

"Sure," I said, slightly weirded out. Why was he acting all awkward?

"So, um. I heard things didn't go to well with Lucius at the dance,"

I strained my voice.

"Yeah, what about it?"
