last chapter guys. let's get it :')

[Remus' POV]

My heart was pounding out of my chest as the Marauders, Lily and I headed for the Whomping Willow. On top of that, I was fuming. I hadn't even noticed my fists were clenched.

As the boys ran ahead I began to slow down. The scene of (Y/N) running out of The Three Broomsticks shattered my heart. Did she not care for me at all? Was this really the end of us?

I guess Lily had noticed that I'd fallen behind because she slowed her pace and walked with me. "Hey," she said gently, touching my clenched fists, "none of this is your fault, okay? We'll tell (Y/N) about the Amortentia and then see what happens."

I stared at Lily blankly. "Why would he even use Amortentia? That only lasts 24 hours... did he expect that she wouldn't even realize after? Does he think she's bloody dense? Why, she's the brightest witch I know," I rambled.

"Remus," Lily said solemnly, "stop stressing. Everything will be fine, okay? Now run along, we need to catch up with the others."

As Lily ran ahead, I thought to myself that I'd give anything for (Y/N) not to run from me again.

As we neared the Whomping Willow, we made out the silhouettes of two people.

"Right there," James whispered from our hidden spot behind the bush.

"That bloody bastard, wait 'till I get there and beat the motherf*cking sh!t out of him," Sirius fumed.

Peter put a hand on Sirius' chest to restrain him. "Easy there. We don't want to scare them off... wait, what are they even doing?"

I tried to peek over the bush, praying to dear Godric that they weren't snogging.

Lily swatted me away, and I could see her eyes slowly start to widen in horror.

Before she could stop me, I poked my head over the bush, only to find their faces less than a centimetre apart. Severus was leaning in. I felt paralyzed, and then...

"STOP!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and stood frozen in place.

They both turned around at lighting speed.

Severus laughed through gritted teeth.

"Care to join the party?", he yelled from the tree. "Well, come on then!", he waved us over.

One by one, the Marauders, Lily and I walked towards the Whomping Willow. I had to physically restrain myself from throwing myself onto Severus and gouging his eyes out.

"Sevvy, what are they doing here," (Y/N) said, arms around Severus' neck.

She was still under the influence.

"I don't know, love, let's ask them," Severus said, looking slowly from (Y/N) to us.

"So, to what do I owe this pleasure? You know I love visitors, but you all so rudely interrupted our first kiss together."

"I'd like to rudely interrupt your face with my fist," James said, stepping towards Severus, only to be held back by Sirius.

"Not yet, Prongs, we have to get (Y/N) to talk to Remus first. Then he's all yours," Sirius whispered.

(Y/N) defensively hugged Severus.

"Lils, what are you doing here? Especially with him?", she cocked her head towards me.

I sighed, exasperated.

"(Y/N), I-"

"Save it, Remus. I don't want to hear your bullsh!t anymore. I'm happy with my new boyfriend, thank you very much."
