Chapter 10: Hidden Potential

After thirty minutes of flying, the group spotted a tall mountain, with a huge Namekian house on it.

(Ginyu)"That must be the place!"

Jeice checked his scouter for any power levels around them.

(Jeice)"Hm, there's somebody down there with a power level of 42,000. They're almost as strong as Recoome!"

(Recoome)"Do you think it's one the Crusher Corps?"

(Chiliad)"No, this is a positive power."

(Ginyu)"What does that mean?"

(Chiliad)"I can feel if someone is good or evil."

They landed an the right side of the house. The door opened, and a Namekian who looked like Piccolo came out.

(Namekian)"Who are you?"

(Chiliad)"My name is Chiliad, and I wish to see the Grand Elder."

(Namekian)"Tch, you think I can't sense the evil in you? I would never allow someone like you to get close to Guru!"

(Ginyu)"Listen up, slug face! We're only trying to help you, so why don't you just listen?!"

(Namekian)"Why should I trust you?! You probably just want the Dragon Balls, like those people who arrived before yo-"

(???)"Nail, it's fine, let him in."

A deep, tired voice came from the house.

(Nail)"B-But Guru?!"

(Guru)"Don't worry, just let one of them in."

(Nail)"Alright, you can enter, but only you."

He pointed at Chiliad. He got out of his hover chair, and followed him into the house, where he saw a huge, elderly Namekian.

(Nail)"Don't try anything funny."

(Chiliad)"Don't worry."

The Grand Elder spoke.

(Guru)"Welcome, child. What brings you here this far from your home?"

(Chiliad)"Grand Elder, if you've noticed, a group of space pirates have invaded your peaceful planet, and plan to use it for their own gain."

(Guru)"Yes, I have noticed. They seek the Dragon Balls for the sake of greed, but there is more than just that. The tree they have planted, is not of this realm, I can feel it. This tree produces fruit that only the God's themselves are allowed to consume, and it reduces a lively planet to dessert in a matter of hours."

(Chiliad)"Exactly, and I only ask of you to grant me the strength needed to defeat them."

(Guru)"Hmm, I could do it, but, you're heart isn't exactly pure."

(Chiliad)"Yes, I have sinned, too many times for me to count, but I don't wish for these people to cause anymore harm to anybody ever again. But, if you don't want to help, that is your choice, and I'll respect it either way."

The wise Namekian was in deep thought for a moment, until making his decision.

(Guru)"There is evil, but I can sense some good in you. Therefore, I will unlock your sleeping power."

(Nail)"What? But Guru, why him?!"

(Guru)"I can sense his intentions, and he truly wants to help us, either way, he and his comrades are our only hope."

(Chiliad)"Thank you, Grand Elder, I won't let your people down."

(Guru)"Ok, come closer."

He walked over to the right side of Guru, and he placed his giant hand on the Frost Demon's head.

(It's kinda difficult to get past the horns.)

After a few seconds, Chiliad felt his power shoot up like a rocket. He could barely contain his new power.

(Guru)"It is done, I have unlocked as much as I can, but I can sense that you can achieve greater powers on your own."

(Chiliad)"I-I can't believe it! This power is incredible!"

Guru laughed a bit, before uncontrollably coughing.

(Nail)"Guru, are you alright?!"

(Guru)"I don't have much time left, please, destroy this evil from Namek...before it's too late!"

(Chiliad)"I won't let you down!"

He left the house, and everyone outside was completely shocked at the new strength he now possessed.

(Abo)"L-Lord Chiliad, is that really you?!"

(Kado)"The scouters almost overloaded!"

(Chiliad)"There's no time to talk, we need to find the rest of the Crusher Corps."

He felt a power almost as high as his from the distance.

(Chiliad)"They're over there, follow me!"

They all flew off the the high power levels.

(Can Chiliad save Namek? I sure hope so!)
