''Wake up! Now!'', as my mother screamed to wake me up I didn't because I was so tired. I knew that I had to wake up though because I had to go to school. Oh, that reminds me my name is Rita, Rita Holbrook and I'm thirteen years old I have to best friends, Zeke and June I have known them since I moved to ShadowLake which was only two years ago. My mom decided it was better for me to live in a smaller town then in the big town New York City. I was bullied a lot back then but now I have two great best friends and oh, god I have to go to school......

When I got to school June gave me the stink eye. As I walk up to her I ask her ''What is with the stink eye'', she answered back '' Are you kidding me '', '' yes, because I know what's going on and I'm putting on this act because you giving me the stink eye is freaking funny '' she angrily answered me back and said ''Are you freaking kidding me, homecoming is in three months and guess who got picked YOU''!!!!!!. '' What do you mean OH MY GOD! This is so freaking cool, wait, who is the other girl''. Then she told me '' you ain't going to like this, its Tammy ( The girl who trys to hard aka mean. ) At the end of school Zeke met up with us at the café to talk about the Homecoming. We all decided to go together because it is what best friends do.

When I got home I made sure that I finished my homework as soon as possible. That was when I heard my parents whispering the thing about the walls in our house was that they were so thin you could hear from two rooms down. I couldn't hear them that much because they were whispering after all. All I could hear was my mom saying '' we got to tell her ''. Then my dad said '' No, we promised her......till......sixteen''. In my head I was like what do they mean sixteen and who did they promise to keep from a secret from me till I was sixteen. That night I didn't go to sleep because my mind was filled with the thought of what my parents said what did they mean and why do I have to wait till I was 16.
