Too Much Thinking

As Calvin woke me up after a 7 hour drive, we made it to a discrete location that I believe is not on the map. When we got there, there was a private jet waiting for us. After we got on the plane and settled in I started to think. How will my life story go? I'm meeting my mother, would I be able to ask why she left me? I had more questions to ask in my head but I'm not going to bore you with them. Calvin was warming up and if I didn't say it before I'm saying it now, I think Calvin is cute because I'm the type to love dramatic and mysterious guys who "hate love". He was quiet so if I wanted to talk to him, which I didn't, it would have to be sensible.

I wondered what would be a good topic to start talking about, then it hit me why don't I ask the most relevant question of all time in many love films.

R: Hey Calvin, can I ask you a question?
C: No
R: Ok, I'm gonna ask anyway, how do you feel about love?
C: *silence*
R: Answer the question or I'm going to annoy you in the two hours we still have left on this plane.
C: Ugh, fine you want an honest answer.
R: Um, of course.
C: Love is a waste of time that only leads to death and sadness. It is not worth it if it takes you away from doing your job and fantasy are the main reason why love is fake, because it is all in your head. Love is just a figment of your imagination that will die out as soon as you realize what kind of world you live in today.

I didn't know what to say his words broke me and all I could do was sit look out the window as tears started to fall. As if a precious little girl suddenly figured out all the magic and good in the world is a lie and there is no such thing as the Easter bunny, Santa Claus, or the Tooth Fairy. I didn't know what to do after that weird conversation, maybe I shouldn't have asked, so then I decided to sleep until someone woke me up saying we were there.
