Movies of moments spent with you
started playing in some old cinema,
the same one where I fell in love with movies, the very one we had our first and last movie date,
and I was taken back.
Back to a time where I was happy.
I was forced to remember a time
when I was your idea of perfect,
a dream come true.
A time when I was your only,
your favourite.I forced my eyes to look away,
but they refused.
They were glued to the past so painfully,
unwilling to return to now.I forced my eyes to do away with the tears.
I refused to cry in front of you.
I refused to be vulnerable again.I started to turn my head turned slightly,
trying to catch a glimpse of you,
trying to see the reaction on your face,
maybe you felt something...And once more,
my eyes betrayed me.
I started to shed a few tears
as I began to realize
how sad you were
without the old me.
You missed the idea you had of me.
You lost your perfect boy,
as I gained myself back again.
